gift ideas!?

For my sons upcoming 1st birthday, DH and I got our son
a few gifts, mostly books and a few small toys. DH is a huge
baseball card collector and he got DS a special card from just him.
I'd like to get DS something special as a keepsake but I'm kinda
at a loss? Just wondering if you all have any ideas?
I'm also thinking about getting DH a little something. This first year has
certainly given DH and I a run for our money, and things have been a little
difficult. I'd like to also get him a keepsake or something special too.
Any help would be most appreciated! Thanks ladies!

    For Christmas I gave M a book, I picked one special book (she got a few others as well) that was "from me" because I love reading and hope I can share that with her. My DH loves music, so this year he got her a set of instruments (egg shaker, spoons, harmonica) and he will go with this theme for future presents. Not incredible exciting I know, but both are things that we hope to share with M as she grows. Similar to your DH and the baseball card. I'd think about what you want to share with DS as he gets older, a passion/sport/hobby of your own. Cooking? Museum membership? Art/craft? Music? I love the idea to get something for DH to celebrate this first year. Maybe a photo album of LO through the months? Or one framed pic of them together?

    I was thinking of getting DH a gift for LO's birthday too. I went into labor at 8pm at night. Earlier that afternoon we had went to a movie. I plan to get the DVD of that movie for DH. He's sentimental that way.
