My boy/girl 18 month old twins I believe are ready to be introduced to potty training. Any recommendations for seats? Do I buy two seats so they can try together? Thanks!
I like the Bjorn one piece potties, easy to climb on and don't have interesting parts to disassemble all the blessed time. And a lot of 1.5yos show potty awareness (talking about having pooped and stuff) but aren't always quite ready yet, especially boys. Can't hurt to introduce it but don't feel pressure if it isn't quite time yet!

I agree that 18 months is pretty young...a lot of kids are 'interested' in the concept but not ready to actually do it. I got 2 of the bjorn potty seats around that age just for them to sort of play around with and sit on, one for downstairs & one for upstairs. As they got into actual potty training, i also got the seats that go on the toilet (a thomas one for DS and a princess one for DD). Mine trained separately, purely based on interest, I did not do any sort of 'boot camp' or anything, and I really found it easier to focus on just one of htem doing it at a time, but everyone is different. The potty chairs are kind of nice if you ever do road trips, you can use them on the go (line them w a diaper if you're somewhere w/ no potty or in a pinch, or if LO si like my DD and would't go in public on a regular toilet in the beginning, you can bring it into the bathroom....lol).
Mine were SO different, DD came home at about 2 1/2 asking for underwear, and was pee & pooped trained wtihin a month with little effort and overnight about a month after that with no effort, just kept waking up dry. DS did not successfully pee train until just shy of 3 1/2 and poop is still a work in progress at 4 1/2 b/c of some encopresis (chronic constipation leading to issues w/ PTing), and he is just now showing signs of interest or readiness in overnight training so we're going to work on that soon.
