Toddler Grudges

Is this normal? I know that sounds like a dumb question, but emery really holds one. Bad!

We had WW3 over yogurt. I finally gave her one, it's been half an hour and she is still mad at me that I made her cry because I said no. I know this because she is ignoring me and pushing me away and refused to say hi to my mom which she normally loves to do. My mom thinks it's funny but I don't find it so amusing.

Any other toddler grudge holders out there? Do I have a SS?

    It lasted almost an hour. I just ignored her and gave her space and she came and sat in my lap :-/ Good God what am I going to do when she is a teenager? How can this seriously be starring at 18 months?

    @wmel13 she wanted zero to do with me. She watched her show and gave me the stink eye every so often lol. It's funny but disturbing at the same time.

    Mine def. does this. After he had a huge meltdown the other night I tried to hug him and said "Can I have a hug?" He pushed me away and said NO and swore he was still like that in the morning but DH says I took it too personally. (I whined quite a bit)

    No you aren't crazy. I thought she was just being crazy and my mom put two and two together for me that she was holding a grudge. I normally forget fights quickly so of course I had moved on. Apparently that's not the case for emery. I just never thought that's what she was doing. Sure enough after several times of the same behavior after she has a tantrum, i now know what's going on.

    Yea I was a mess and horribly upset. Luckily he did snap out of it, but wow I don't want to be on the receiving end of toddler grudge again.

    At the playground if another kid pushes her or is rough FK holds a grudge. If the rough kid tries to get her attention to play she ignores them or says,"No." She doesn't hold a grudge with me. She may need some cool down time after a tantrum but it doesn't last very long. Emery is such a strong willed cutie. I think it's nice that she feels emotionally safe and confident to know she can express her feelings. :)

    That's a nice spin to it! Makes it a little less mean lol.

    That girl is SASSY! LOL. K definitely gets mad, but he has never really held a grudge that I have noticed. Usually his anger is because I wont pick him up anyway, so even though he is super pissed sometimes he is still constantly pulling and tugging on me and screaming in my face for me to pick him up do whatever it is he wants me to do. And the angrier he gets, the longer he wants me to hold him. An hour of him holding a grudge actually sounds kind of nice after I type it all out like that...lol.
