overnight diaper?

I was curious what diaper everyone is putting their LO in overnight? We are using cloth diapers and have had way to many leaks causing baby girl to be soaking wet in the middle of the night. Any help would be great! thank you all!

Re: overnight diaper?

  • We also use cloth. So far my go-to overnight diaper is a one size Blueberry with the bamboo insert. If for some reason the two I have are both dirty (rare since I was every second day) then I use a BG 4.0 usually stuffed with the regular 4.0 insert and the Blueberry bamboo doubler. Never experienced a leak with either of these. I will say though, I have been eyeing up a Twinkie a Tush Night-Night set...I think my H might kill me if I spend any more money on diapers, but they are supposedly A-mazing!

  • We alternate between a Kawaii goodnight heavy wetter with added hemp insert and a Sloomb medium bamboo flat with added hemp insert and a blueberry coverall.

  • We use cloth too.
What are you stuffing with? Maybe it's a compression leak? Try using a hemp insert.

I'm using rumparooz with the MF inserts, but i also have hemp inserts, and sometimes I'll use a BGE, with a hemp flat.

  • I switched from pockets at night with a wool cover due to compression leaks. Now I use kissa fitteds with a wool cover, and no jammies over the cover because apparently that can cause leaking too.

  • I was getting leaks with pockets, even with multiple hemp inserts.  I switched to imagine bamboo fitters with covers, and now we make it through the night no problem.  They're relatively cheap, too.
  • Pampers Baby Dry or Huggies Snug and Dry but we use the next size up for nighttime.

I just use Target diapers. Same for day and night.
  •  so are you using size 4 at night?
  • We use Goodmamas with a cover.
  • We are using the Luvs nighttime diapers. They were working great, but since he started sleeping on his stomach, there have been a lit of leaks. He's 16 lbs and still wearing a size 2, and I think I'm going to up it to a 3 to see if that helps.
  • We use The Honest Company disposables, we've never had a leak. During the day occasional up the back poos just before going up a size but no night time leaks.

  • @micabush - what type/brands of cloth are you using? I slather DD in CJ's before bed just as a preventative measure. She never gets rashy even when she wears the same diaper all night long.

Fleece liners do work wonders! I bought a couple 3 pks of Bum Genius stay dry doublers to use with the few prefolds I have (my DD is terribly sensitive to the wet feeling, may be nice come potty training but when she was a newborn it meant that without something that wicked the moisture away she was screaming to be changed every 20 min). Anyways, they work great for the purpose of wicking, and since they also have a microfibre layer on the back they work to absorb extra moisture as well. I only paid about $6 per pack, and I'm in Canada so a) they are most likely cheaper in the US and b) there is also probably a cheaper alternative as well, we have less selection too!

  • We use Pampers Swaddlers size3 during the day and Pampers Baby Dry size three at night. Even if she wakes to eat I don't change the overnight diaper. It's humongous in the morning but has never leaked!
  • We use pampers cruisers day and night (size 3). When she does actually STTN they work fine. If she has a MOTN feed I usually change her anyway.

  • We just use regular old Huggies diapers, sometimes Pampers. They are good for all night if he sleeps through the night, which he usually does. Every so often he will wake up hungry. If this happens and we feed him overnight, we change his diaper; otherwise, it will get too full and leak.
  • Luvs forever in my house. They never leak.
  • UPDATE: hubby just told me she woke up at 6am soaking wet. so the huggies size 3 did not work. going to get a pack of size 4 and see if that works. heres to hoping :)
