3rd Trimester

He's here! Born 2 days before his due date :)

Our son was born on Wednesday &just wanted to share the story.  I was actually at work & started having mild cramping at 130p.m., not thinking it was the beginning of the real thing as baby boy was due yesterday & I was expecting him to be late.  By 230 the "cramping" was getting more regular so I called the triage nurse & she told me to call back when I was done at 5 & they would either have me go home or go over to the hospital depending on how I was feeling.  I think I was trying to talk myself out of it being real labor & I thought since my water hadn't broken, I was over reacting, but by 4p.m. I couldn't even stand & had a co-worker took me over to the hospital & our son was born at 515!  It's what they call a "precipitous labor" since it lasted only 3hrs.....not the ideal way of delivering our son but thank God everything went o.k!  There was no time for an epidural so I've been able to experience both forms of childbirth & I'll say if we were to have a 3rd child, I'd choose an epidural for sure!!

Just wanted to share because you just never know how it will happen on the big day, so it's not a bad thing to take off work to be ready, or to stay close to home instead of getting more things done.  If I hadn't been working I'm pretty sure I would have been out running errands or visiting family or friends, trying to get it all in before LO arrived, instead of taking it easy.  I'm just so glad it happened when it did so he wasn't born at work, or on the way to the hospital!!

Good luck, everyone!  :)

Me: 42, DH: 43. We are so grateful to have a 2yr old daughter, conceived naturally after 3 miscarriages & no treatments (our Dr. gave us 1 more month to try on our own before advacing to IVF, & we conceived her naturally in January 2010)! Trying since April 2011 without sucess....MD said we were both "fine" & that if it wasn't happening, it was a chromosomal issue. Finally started Follistim 225mcg injections with an Ovidrel trigger November 2012. Bleeding 11 days post Ovidrel on November 25th. Starting the whole lab/Ultrasound/Follistim cycle again on November 27th...
