Lifting after c section

I remember my OB said nothing heavier than the baby and her carrier, but I can't remember for how long. Does anyone know off hand?

I need to go to Costco for a few odds and ends and more or less I'm worried about my cases of water because that will likely be the heaviest.

Be careful and talk to your doctor first. I made the mistake of hauling in a bunch of groceries at once yesterday cause it was pouring rain and then I had some pain and really big clots later that night. My c/s was about 2.5 weeks ago.

At my 10 day checkup, my Dr said I could resume normal activity, just no heavy lifting. I've been lifting soda 12 packs, dog food, cat litter, etc. The worst I've had happen is it made my bleeding start up again. No clots though. I'm now 3.5 weeks post partum. I'd still ask my Dr though if I were you. Everybody is different.

Mine was almost 4 weeks ago... So I'm thinking I could probably lift the water... I can't imagine it's much heavier than the baby in the car seat right?

I would call but they're closed Saturdays and I don't feel like it's an emergency LOL

My discharge instructions said not to lift anything heavier than LO for 4 weeks.

Hmmm I held my toddler on Christmas and rocked him to sleep. My c/s was 12/20. He weighs 23 lbs. so....I would lift water. But do what you're comfortable with. My OB doesn't give me any limits, other than no driving on narcotics.
