play doh?

I'm trying to come up with some new ideas on activities to do with Ava since I'll be here with her all weekend all alone. We bought her a bunch of play doh kits for Christmas but we haven't opened them yet. Have any of you let your LO's play with this stuff yet? I'm not sure if she's still too young for it or not. I kind of really want to open it so I can play with it ;)

    We got some at Christmas as a gift. LO plays with it but that mostly means that she crumbles it up in her hands. It is messy and little pieces get everywhere so we put down a large piece of paper first. H and I play with it along with her and show her how to make things with it. She really enjoys destroying/smashing the things that we make.

    Emily loves it, but she wasn't sure at first. She say there for a good 30 minutes just playing with the accessories and not actually touching the play doh. After watching Ben for a while she decided it was cool and went for it.

    Tumaini loves it. Granted, she mostly just rolls it in her hands, but she loves watching us create things.

    Lily prefers stacking the cans as high as she can.  Yesterday she ate some of two varieties: homemade gingerbread play doh and some Play Doh Plus.  ::sigh::  :-/

    Cooper loves it. I make little animals with it and balls and snakes. I only give her one color at a time in her high chair

    Emery hated the feeling of play doh. Wouldn't touch it. I on the other hand was reminded of how awesome it smells.

    Well we tried it. She tried to eat it several times and then proceeded to throw it all over the floor. Also it was not as fun as I remembered it. And nothing I made even came close to looking as cool as it did on the box. All around play doh disappointment today.

    DH made Mirabelle play doh for Christmas. They play with it a couple times a week. Mira loves to squish it. When I did it with it her she only tried to eat it once. She liked using cookie cutters with it too.

    We do playdoh a lot he mainly likes to cut it up with cookie cuters and try to eat it lol
