Pennsylvania Babies

Harrisburg/Mechanicsburg Infertility

Hi there! My husband and I have been BDing without protection for about 3 years now and no babies. We had a "pregnancy of unknown origin" in March that ended in miscarriage and now we are really trying to get pregnant.
I've had all the tests (HSG, bloodwork, numerous ultrasounds) and hubby has had his test too. According to our current Dr. I have "unexplained" infertility.
We have been seeing RMA for the last 6 months or so getting all of the testing done and now it's time to start IUI.

The thing is, RMA has been LESS THAN STELLAR with their communications. They never called us about hubby's test results (we had to call them 3x), they got a new FT doctor so when we went to meet her she had NO idea we were established patients, and now when I called them on Day 1 of my cycle to let them know, they still haven't returned my call! I'm less than thrilled. I'm trusting these people to help me make a LIFE and they can't even get their crap together?!

Does anyone else have any other suggestions or can you at least give me a glimmer of hope with RMA in Mechanicsburg? I'd really appreciate it! I'm sure many of you know how stressful this can be and how disheartening it is to go month by month without getting a BFP!!

Thank you all :-)

Re: Harrisburg/Mechanicsburg Infertility

  • We had a complete opposite experience with RMA. We met dr Castlebaum in my obgyn's office just as he was setting up the Mechanicsburg office. Had HSG IIn January. Tried clomid on its on first, no luck. Then IUI in April. Had luck with our 2nd IUI in May. Our little boy is due to arrive anytime in the next two weeks. Jen (receptionist) and Melissa(nurse) were great and really kept things personal for us. Dr Castlebaum was encouraging and straightforward. We were pretty stressed throughout the process, the Mchanicsburg staff really helped us through it. I will say there were hiccups I. Communication when I had to deal with anyone outside of the me hanixsburg office, paperwork forms getting lost, having to be resigned. The communication between offices wasn't great. But in the office they took great care of us and it was really convenient getting blood work done in the same building and having test results back later that afternoon.
