Carbonated drinks and BFing (stupid question?)

Will it make baby gassy? A quick google search didn't seem to give am definite answer. I usually drink a lot of club soda and don't want to make baby have gas. :/

  • I wouldn't cut out anything unless I noticed a problem, honestly. I drink cokes and have no issues.

  • Carbonated drinks made DS1 gassy and made his reflux worse. I cut them out completely until he was around 9 months old.

  • I haven't noticed a difference for my LO but its really trial and error for what makes them gassy.

  • Thanks guys! I went ahead and drank my club soda with no adverse effects yet, so I think we're good. Thanks for responding to my ridiculous question. :)

  • Carbonation can't go into breast milk lol. Only things that enter the blood stream can enter breastmilk.
