I want a light coverage foundation. I've got super fair skin, so if you can recommend one that gets so light it's borderline albino, I'd appreciate that, too.
Suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste,
It all revolves around you.
It's a powder, but I really like Bare Minerals. And I hate foundations. I know it's not Eco-friendly and probably terrible for me, but it was super easy, light, and didn't make me feel like I was wearing anything. I got the sample size that came with two powders. I'm fairly light skinned and went with the second one up. So I imagine the lightest one would work for you.
I liked Bare Minerals for a while, but my skin gets too dry for it in the winter. I use Lancome now. It's probably heavier than you are looking for, but I think they have a lighter version. I like that it stays put so long despite my crazy oily/dry skin.
I'm pretty pale as well, but I get some red blotches so I'm overall uneven and need a bit more coverage.
I use Tarte Amazonian Clay liquid and I really love it. I went to Sephora and tried a few different brands (including Bare Minerals, Make Up Forever, Sephora Brand and Smashbox). I liked all the liquid ones I tired (power just doesn't have enough coverage for me), but I loved the Tarte brand the most.
It was nice to go in and have them help me test them because the girl there colour-matched it for me and it was perfect. I know she tried 2 different shades on me of one of the brands to make sure it was the best match. I was there for over an hour and she was really great. I use the "light" of Tarte, but I think there is one shade lighter than what I use (I think they have "Fair" as well). If getting the right shade is your biggest issue, I would go in and have them try a few different brands and shades with you. They will do like a whole little make-over for you until you find what you like!
Thanks, ladies! I'm looking for a liquid. I actually have a powder for every day use, but the coverage is very light, and I want to have something extra on hand for when my eczema patches flare up.

I would try a BB cream, super light coverage with sunscreen built in. Many companies have started to add anti-aging to their BB creams now, too!
This. I am really fair-skinned and have freckles (so to cover those would be weird). I use Urban Decay's Naked BB cream and it's pretty awesome. Plus, Urban Decay is a lot more eco-friendly, chem-free and animal friendly than you might expect, and it's made in North America.
@CurlieWhirlie - Where do you find Urban Decay? I remember seeing it in magazines when I was younger, but I don't think I've seen it in the department stores down here.

I second a BB cream if you're looking for a light coverage. I love my Kat Von D foundation but it's a HEAVY coverage imo. She made it so it can cover tattoos so yeah lol. I have a lot of dark acne scars so I love it.
I can't recommend any specific brands of BB cream though because I've only tried a few since only a few brands actually come dark enough for my skin tone. I've heard good things about Garnier's BB cream though. I really like Revlon's foundations so I would think their BB cream would be good as well. I will say I absolutely HATE Maybelline's BB cream though.

Could you try something to just conceal problem areas?
