My mom and mother-in-law are planning my baby shower and will be sending out the invites at the end of the month, maybe beginning of February.
So I am registered at 2 places. I have a very bare-bones BRU registry (bottles, receiving blankets, etc.) and I also have a cloth diaper registry at a smaller, Canadian-based store/website (but the physical store is in another province). Most of what I registered for is on my cloth diaper registry. I picked the website because a) they ship from within Canada so no extra duty charges b) they have relatively reasonable prices and a good selection of brands/price ranges and c) they offer free shipping on certain $ amount orders, so it would save people money on shipping.
The only thing is, their website isn't as fancy as BRU where you can just search by my name, people actually need to know my registry # AND a password to view my list and order off this registry. Unfortunately this isn't the kind of information that can just be passed around "word of mouth". So I thought I would make a little card that said I'm registered at BRU on one side, and on the other list the CD website with the registry number and password.
I know it's a big faux-pas to include registry information with something like a wedding invitation, but for something like a shower, which is a gift-giving occasion, it seems like it just makes sense to include a little card showing where I am registered. I have received shower invites with those little cards and thought nothing of it.
Is that terrible? Am I going to etiquette hell?

It’s not that I don’t like you, it’s that I don’t know you. Stranger Danger.
