For those that have had c-sections- did you have numbness above the incision after the surgery? It will be 2 weeks tomorrow since the surery and about an inch above the incision is still very numb.
It's numb bc the nerves were cut. The tingling is the nerves finding there way back. It's a good thing or else it would be painful. It could last up to a year.
I do and my daughter is a week. It lasts a while, honestly. Some people never regain sensation back in that area. I was sensitive at the incision site from my first c section when I had the baby last week, but not above it like now. So, who knows if I'll ever have full feeling back again?? You get used to it. It's just a strange feeling.
I had this after my C/S with DD. At first it was a larger area of numbness around my incision, but I've gradually regained just about all the feeling. There are a couple small spots of semi-numb areas still.
I'm still very numb, almost 3 weeks out. My sister's LO is turning 2 this month and she still has some numbness on one side. I asked my doc and she said nerves take months to regrow, and some may not grow back right, like my sister, but that most get full sensation by six months And even more by one year.
I was numb for a few months. I did also have what felt like a hot coal rod stabbing pain every now and then for a few weeks kind of consistently and then just infrequently after.
