Forgot how bad the Met was on my stomach

I started back on Metformin last night and I'm so miserable today and have to be at work.  At least I have a good co-worker who understands my need to run for the restroom and will cover for me.
 TTC #1 since June 2008
M/C @ 6 weeks 12/31/2008, Ectopic @ 6 weeks on 4/23/2010
Diagnosed Unexplained 11/2009-DH is fine-I don't get AF
Cycle #22 - 1/27/11 - IUI #1 & Injections - BFP! - DS born 11/11/11 
TTC#2 - 2/24/14 - IUI & Injections - BFP! - EDD 11/29/14

    So miserable- haven't been in that one, but having to be on anything that jacks you up and then be at work :( so glad you have supportive coworker! I could never trust mine last time I went through that. Hope you feel better soon!!

    I used to take Metformin so I know how it goes.  How much do you have to take?  I hope you feel better.

    750mg twice a day.

    I did eat macaroni and cheese last night.  I'm gonna scale back on the carbs today and see if that helps.

    I always had a hard time after eating salads.  I was on metformin for over 2 years for PCOS, and then my RE told me I didn't have PCOS.  So glad I have to get a new ob anyway.

    I was on it for quite some time and conceived my ectopic and my DS1 while on it.  My RE is adamant that I'm not PCOS, but I just show many characteristics of it.  I'm not sure what symptoms I'm missing though for him to diagnose me with it.

    I hate metformin. I've been on it on and off for over 13 years, but it makes me so sick I take myself off of it. I'm on 2000 mg a day, but I'm currently only 1000 because my stomach just can't handle it. 
    I'm 29. DH is 29. 
    TTC #2 since 1/14
    DX= PCOS and Annovulatory
    Cycle #1- Failed IUI 5/12
    Cycle #2- Injectibles and TI- BFP 7/13/12. Due 3/2/13
    DS born at 31w3d on 1/19/13

    Oh man, be I went of Metformin, I had a major issue with using restrooms other than in my own home.  I got over that REAL FAST!  Haha!  It's awful.  I'm on it now and in my case, my body got used to it after a while.  Hopefully the same will go for you, too!

    Taking a break from herbs and just riding the healthy train.  
    Planning medicated cycle end of summer.  FX I get KU before then!!!

    It did the same to me. Yuck. Then someone mentioned there is a time release one.......tummy problems all went away, Maybe ask if you can take that one. :)

    TTC for 1.5 years with a crappy RE. 12 cycles with clomid (11 too many)

    I just started Metformin 2 weeks ago.  Actually just upped my dose tonight. I am finally on the full amount, 1500.  This is my first time taking it and I haven't had any problems (I really don't mean for that to be braggy).  I take the time release ones, like PP mentioned. Is that what you take? I also always take it right after dinner at the suggestion of the pharmacist.  Good luck to you!

    No, I'm just on regular pills.  I'm going in for a consult before our cycle next Wednesday and I'll ask him about these!

    I'm sorry the met is making you miserable. Hopefully you can get on those time released pills and feel better!

    I know how much the stomach issues suck! Hang in there! But I stopped taking it because it didn't seem to help and I have high testosterone, nothing wrong with my insulin or blood sugars so I don't see the need for it.
