I know everyone says "if you wait till you can afford kids you'll never have them" but how did you know when you were ready for #2? DS is 9 months and i look at him and all his activity and think there's no way i'm ready for #2. I want to enjoy him for awhile and he is just TOO active. But then I read posts from 1-3 tri boards about feeling the baby move and I see belly pics and i miss all that.

Re: how did you know you were ready for #2?
I think I like the idea of it, but when I start thinking about how day-to-day life would be with DS AND a newborn, it scares the bejeezuz out of me! Just little things like going grocery shopping with 2 or getting 2 out of carseats. But then again, I felt that way when I used to think about 1!
thats how i am. and i think about how easy it is to have my parents watch DS if we want to go out. i know it would be as easy, for us or them, if we had 2
We're ready now and will be trying this week for #2. I had a fairly easy pregnancy and felt great most of the time, so I don't mind being pregnant at all. We want our kids to be close in age like DH and his brother. I don't think we know how we're ready, but we are.
When my first DD Cailyn was about 2 yrs old is when i really started getting that baby itch again, it took us almost 10mths to get pregnat with our second daughter Macie. I really felt like i was ready at that stage and that i could handle another baby....until i peed on the stick and it was positive! Then i was nervous, but you know what you just do it. You may be exhausted and life at times can be tiring and hard but i would not change a thing. I'm really happy that we waited to have our second and i think it was a blessing that it took a long time to pregnant. When Macie was born Cailyn was such a big help, she was 3yrs old, she understood what was going on that it made everything easier. Anyway, you will know when you are ready so don't stress about it.
