@mlamping congratulations!! Looking forward to pics! Everyone- I will leave the post all messed up this week and hope to fix it next week. My update: 35 weeks on Sunday! Have an ultrasound Monday, start weekly apts including weekly nst tests start next week. And....my shower is tomorrow! Qotw: I have become attached to maternity clothes! Is that weird? I have always been hard to fit and maternity clothes are forgiving and comfy...hope I can give them up! Lol.

  • 38.1 weeks today and despite having a complete previa it looks like the OB thinks I will be making it all the way to the end! This time next week I'll be holding my baby girl....can't wait!

EXTREMELY uncomfortable with tons of hip, tailbone and back pain and numerous BH contractions. Definitely counting down the hours until baby's arrival. Have one final appointment next Tuesday and then c/s at noon on the 16th!

QOTW: Despite all the aches, pains and extra worries with this pg I think I will miss this moment in time as a whole because it very likely could be our last baby. With out last DD everything came so easy and I took so much for granted so I've tried very hard not to repeat those mistakes again and to enjoy the moment as much as I can.

Hello, all! Thanks for taking over the check-in, amb! Congrats, mlamping! Sending hugs to those who need them this week!

I'm 33w4d today. Next appointment is on Wednesday. I'm doing okay, but I have to admit that the discomforts of pregnancy are definitely escalating lately... I'm looking forward to my showers the next two weekends and trying to take it easy and read up on parenting, BFing, etc.

QOTW: I will miss a lot of things about being pregnant - many of which you ladies have already mentioned. I will also miss feeling his hiccups. He gets them at 2-4 times a day, and it's just so cute.

  • Hi Ladies!

I'm 36+3 today, I had an u/s yesterday to look at LO's R kidney (at 28 weeks they thought he might have mild hydronephrosis). Kidney looked good, he was head down and EFW was 6#. I went to my weekly OB after, I'm 1cm and very soft. My GBS culture from last week was neg. I had to start taking Valtrex prophalaxysis since I have a hx of HSV (making me feel a little yucky).
    Starting to get excited!!

QOTW: I think not having him so close.

  • Hello Ladies!

I'm 36 weeks today and had my first weekly exam.  Wow, that internal check and culture for GBS sure was uncomfortable!  LO is still pretty high up and doesn't feel like he'll be dropping anytime soon; cervix is thick and sealed up.

OB went over the details of MFMs sonogram report (not sure why he didn't do that last week) and said that while LO's head is measuring a week ahead, and he's got really long legs, his torso is right on track and I can stop fearing immense labor pain from giant baby (I still think he'll be a painful 10+ lbs. at birth though).

QOTW: I'll miss the excuse of eating ice cream and cheese "for baby's calcium" intake before I go back to dairy-free eating.  I also will miss the lack of sinus (or possibly they were hormonal) headaches.
