I can't remember your new numbers Mandie but any updates on the issues with your H? I hope things are better.

We really havent been around each other much because of work but Im still struggling. He is trying very hard and while I see it clearly, it still feels empty. Its hard dealing with all this on top of crazy hormones! But thanks for thinking of me! :)
I was also wondering about how you guys were doing? I would beyond crushed... Have you confronted him about it?

  • @bliz1712 I bought a puzzle board she likes, other than that she is the same amount of clingy. She has started requesting gabba gabba so that entertains her for 10 minutes. Otherwise, she follows me around the house like a shadow.

@mightybee thanks for thinking of me, we aren't talking right now. She says she stopped drinking as of January 1, but I'm just mad at her for a lot of reasons. Her attitude has been flippant and arrogant, until she shows humility I'll keep my distance. Too bad for emery though, because she loves her and asks for her daily.

I want to know how all the new with 2 parents are doing, and all the pregos are doing in the thought of being 2 under 2.

I was actually going to ask how things are with your LOs!
It's an adjustment, but all things considered I think we're doing well. Trying to go out and about is still a major challenge, but we're getting there.

  • @bliz1712 and @mrskberlo,  I can completely relate to your fears about adding a second little love.  I wrote a couple of blog posts about my experience, if you're interested.  I've shared them here before so I don't want to be obnoxious and post them a million times if you've already read them.  ;)  But if you haven't and you'd like to, let me know.  It was an emotional transition time (as you know!) but I can honestly say that having two is a million times more wonderful than I ever imagined.  :)

@mrskberlo, you'll be in my thoughts regarding l&d.  Keep in mind how far off those measurements can be.  Try not to fear.  You're body was made to birth this baby!  PM me if you want to talk.

Things are great here, if not busy. Evie loves Caz, and Caz loves Evie. It's sort of insane. He laughs at whatever she does. Even if it's her poking him in the eye... as long as it's her he's thrilled. He's closer to crawling than I would like, but he's still not able to sit up, so I don't think he'll really get TOOOO far. Both go to bed at the same time, Caz is a great sleeper so that's wonderful, Evie has continued to sttn, and they get up roughly around the same time too!.
It's amazing how Caz just fit right into everything and things are wonderful.

Reading this was so reassuring to me. I'm a little anxious (and very excited) since I found out about this pregnancy and it's great to see that it seems to be working out so well for your family.

  • @mrskberlo I echo Sally that they can be off with those measurements. They told me Dagny would be over 10lbs and at my 38 week growth scan they literally couldn't measure her head because it was too big. I scheduled a csection and she was 8lbs3ozs. She did have a big head so she could have gotten stuck but I'm forever irked about those measurements and that I let myself get scared into a csection.

It's TERRIFYING!!!! And I was panicked about going home when I was at the hospital, and then when I was home I was fine.. and I panicked about my H going back to work and leaving me with 2, and then when he did that and I was fine, I panicked about going out alone with the 2 of them... and now that's easy. If you WEREN'T scared and worried and a little bit hesitant I would say you were crazy.
But because they sleep so much in the beginning, LO1 can get used to LO2 being around, and you feeding and changing them, and then the more they become interactive, the more LO1 accepts it. It really is a very natural transition. Yes, I'm 100% ready to take a bath, sit alone in my office, and eat a nice meal by the time my husband comes home and takes them, but it's doable, and even very enjoyable at this point.

Except... as of now I have a hard time figuring out who left the mess... Evie or the dog (it's almost always Evie) ... when Caz is running around ruining things I'll have to choose among 3... THAT is gonna suck!
I might print this and put it on my fridge to remind me everything will be fine everytime I feel the panick taking over! Thanks for your reassuring words!

  • Late to the party, but I wanted to ask @Lada85 how things are going?  I seem to remember you were going to enroll in some sort of program part time but I don't remember.  Has it started yet?  Do you like it?  How's your little guy doing with everything?
