How long...

...can you LO stay interested/occupied with one toy, game, etc. before moving on to the next thing. DS can only seem to stay interested in any given item for maybe 10 minutes at the most. Unless of course it is something he shouldn't have or be doing in the first place.

  • depends on the item though

  • It really depends. I say 30 min max but that's usually books or a TV show. An actual toy probably 15 minutes.

  • She can play with her dolls and accessories for a good forty-five minutes, but for everything else, we're in the ten minute range. I'm pretty sure that's normal for this stage.

  • It used to be way longer before he learned to walk and became more mobile. He used to stick with a pile of books for 20 - 30 minutes, now he'll flip through them and move on after 5 minutes.

  • 5-10 or even less unless it's something she's not supposed to be into. Good to know it's normal at least. It is exhausting though!

  • Thanks everyone good to know it is normal. I agree though it's exhausting I feel like I am constantly chasing him down or tripping over something else he left around
