Josh and Jared do look a lot alike. They both favor my husband in coloring whereas Bryan and Kyle have the darker hair like me.
It was semi hard to come up with their names. Jared was named in the operating room as he was going to be a Shawn or a Jayson but I really wanted Jared and when he was born DH leaned over and said "you can have Jared". Kyle was really hard to come up with something we both agreed on. Joshua was fairly easy.
Having a preteen is getting to be a challenge. I say often I am probably lucky he isn't a girl. I see the hormones raging and the mood changes. Plus he wants to still be my cuddly little boy at times but also wants to be mature and have more freedom. A lot of back talking and tone of voice issues that have come up that I continually have to remind him that we are not his friends and he will be respectful to us as his parents.
The older ones do really well with the Josh. They have a harder time with Kyle sometimes. Kyle wants so badly to be involved with them and do the same things they are doing but they get frustrated with having an almost 5 year old thinking he is on the same level as they are. Overall though they have good relationships. I have a picture of Bryan and Jared sleeping together at the hotel in Disney and they are holding hands in their sleep. LOVE that picture, I tell them I will always have proof they love each other....let me see if I can find it to attach.
Honestly, it is scary how quickly time goes by. I know the cliche is "don't blink" but seriously that is exactly how it feels. I blinked and had a 10 year old. I blinked and my 3rd is starting kindergarten in the fall. I blinked and my 2nd was tall enough to ride the big roller coasters. How did this happen? I SURELY have not gotten any older. :-\"
