I'm a SAHM, and there are things that happen occasionally that I would be ashamed to tell total strangers that I give to my child or let my child do. I feel like most of us have things like that, so here's the place to dish it.
This isn't a thread to bash each other...just to realize that none of us are perfect!
I let my child have lollipops and candycanes. Ever since christmas there's no stopping her with them. Not everyday, and NEVER unsupervised, but in my previous childless life I would totally judge someone giving their child hard candy this young!
Re: What makes YOU a "bad" mom??
Caroline eats a lot of Nutella sandwiches. She won't eat anything else. We're working on this battle, but I refuse to let her starve.
We also give her bites of sweets if we're eating something and she asks for a bite.
ETA: we also let dd watch cartoons. DH lets her more than myself, but it happens regardless.
It's a fight to get DD to sit in her booster chair- I usually let her sit on my lap to eat.
I get frustrated over silly things (saying no for the same thing 300 times a day, redirecting, throwing food on the floor) and yell out-- NOT at her. Just will yell out, seriously?! or really?! or come on?! (this also usually happens the week before my period and my fuze is super short. ha) but I still feel bad.
No vegetables have passed her lips in I don't even know how long.
Also, sometimes when I get home from work after picking him up from daycare, I'll let him free play for a few minutes while I check my phone. I just need a minute to reboot.
Jacqueline has candy canes, and has helped me with a bite or two of ice cream...but other than that she really doesn't get many junky options...but only because they aren't here. She gets a lot more junk food at Nana and Papas house.
I let her brush her own teeth and she will never CIO. She figured it out on her own...no screaming or tantrums. If she's crying when she goes down it's because she needs somethig...but this is what has worked for us.

What are vegtables?? Those must be the things he throws on the floor. Ya, he doesn't eat them.
I don't give him a bath every night.
