What's up sexy ladies

I've been stalking the boards- but haven't posted much. I miss you ladies!!im tired as hell as maggie has days and nights backwards, and she's jaundiced so I'm waking her every 2 hours to feed her. DH has been pissing me off. Treating his 2 week leave like a vacation. Glued to his cell phone surfing the internet. Complaining about being tired (dude, you slept at least 6 hours last night, while I'm workin on 3.)

Ultimately there is no point to this post except to say HELLO and check in :)

  • Helllooooo!!!! I feel ya momma. DD eats every two hours and so anything past midnight is on me and DH is usually great but he freaks out during diaper changes because Abigail screams at the top of her lugs because she hates being cold so he gets flustered. But yes when he gives me the big sigh about how many diaper changes he does during day time hours vs me I want to give him major side eye. He isn't quite warranting a throat punch yet.

  • Thanks for thinking I am still sexy.

It's so F annoying to hear DH complain. Your back hurts? Oh poor baby. I just want to go stabbity stabby.

Heeeeeey sexy laaady! Day/ night mix ups suck, I'm sorry. Also, I'd be popping H on the head to get off his phone and participate. I foresee having this issue with my own H when the time comes.

Hey mama!  Sorry you're feeling a bit overwhelmed right now.  Question- how do you and DH split MOTN feedings?  I know, obviously, with nursing, that you have to feed the baby, but what DH and I do is that I'll nurse the baby and then hand them off to him for changing and getting them back to sleep.  We do this even when he returns to work and I'm still on leave because, let's face it, it's a HELL of a lot easier for him to run off to the office all day, then to be home taking care of 3-4 kids.  Am I right, or am I right?

What I'm saying is... try it.  I find the hardest part of MOTN feedings is actually getting the baby back to sleep, so I appreciate that I feed and then hand off and roll over.  Ya know??  Just a thought.

Hang in there mama... what I say to myself kid after kid is that it GOES BY SO FAST.  Just keep saying it, b/c while sometimes it doesn't feel that way, it really DOES fly by.

The best way to get my kids to sleep was feeding them. For MOTN feedings, I'd nurse on one side, hand baby to DH for a diaper change and to wake baby up (and I'd pee again) then I'd nurse on the other side and put baby to bed. But I made sure DH was up almost every night with me! (sure, for him it was like 5 minutes to my 30, but I felt better)

This rarely happened for us.  It was almost like, woo hoo full belly = party time! Then I'd spend 30 minutes trying to get them back to sleep.  Ummm, no.  But IF they ever did pass out eating, then I'd skip the heiney change and put them right back to bed.

@ljessen13 thanks for the DH throat punch. When it comes to days and nights being mixed up- we're big on open blinds, lights on and lots of noise during the day. I wake her up to feed her every two hours (if she's super sleepy, I make her uncomfortable by tickling, undressing, moving limbs, changing diapers). At night we don't do daily baths, but I'll rub her with lotion, put her in warm pjs and swaddle her. Then it's lights out and quiet. We don't change diapers unless super heavy or pooped in, and there is no play time or talking even if she's wide awake laying there. Both my girls got their times flipped within two weeks - fingers crossed it works for Maggie too!:)
This idea seems genius. I'm going to have to try it out. Although at almost three weeks, DD is getting better.

Nice to see you back! Sorry YH is being a lazy ass. Hope he gets better real soon.

Mine's been a pain too. He gets home and is all what's for dinner and did you nap today. I'm usually feeding DD so I tell him I don't know and no I didn't because DD was gassy and refused to be down and I was giving attention to stepdaughter or doing work for my online class. Just because I'm home all day doesn't mean things are easy. At least he holds DD in the evenings when she's fussy so I can get a break and he took his daughter out last night to get stuff for the goodie bags for her birthday party.
