Childcare vs. nanny vs. church in Stamford

Hello! We might be moving to Stamford from Abu Dhabi and I am a bit scared about what to do with my 3-month old baby if we both work. What is the most comon thing to do? What is the cost of all of the options? I have also read somewhere that there are certain ladies that take care of several infants at their own home? Any feedback on this? Thanks for your help!

    There are a lot of families in Stamford, and therefore there are a lot of daycare options!  I have a live-in mother-in-law at the moment so I can't provide details, but a lot of friends bring their children to some of the larger daycare centers, "Bright Horizons" is one of the popular ones.  Several friends also have nannies.  There are also many small in-someone's-home child care options, but at this time I don't know anyone participating in this option.
    It's our first baby, and we don't know if it's a boy or girl! We'll find out on or around October 21, 2012 :) Fairfield County, CT Working professional, plan to go back to work 3-6 months after birth Potential high risk pregnancy - Diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis in 2nd Trimester
