I feel so stabby lately.

Yesterday I snapped on my mom, SIL and DH all within 15mins. I wonder if PMS-like symptoms mean labour is coming?

Edit to add: whoever on TB mentioned unwrapped starbursts last week is my hero. Those things are amazing!

Today I was at home about to eat when I heard a gushing coming from the laundry room. I thought it was the washer but looked in and saw water flooding the floor coming from the wall. Apparently a pipe burst. The room was flooding and I couldn't find the knobs to turn off the water.

Luckily, my mom was at her house and rushed over and was able to reach the knob to turn off the water. Then she helped get the water out and my husband got home from work to help. I just want to cry.

We are waiting to hear how much it's going to cost to repair... Hopefully not much because--holy crap--we are about to have a baby any day! We don't have much money for this. Ugh. Okay, sorry, I'm done.

Ada fell down some stairs tonight (she's fine) but she was a little scared, and crying. She got to daddy, and told him the story "Daddy...(sniff) I fell down (sniff) the stairs! (sniff sniff) And Daddy...(sniff) I need a cookie (sniff)."

It was so cute! She got the cookie

I'm super annoyed that DH didn't answer the call from my OB. We found out we need to be induced for medical reasons and if he would have answered the phone I could be getting induced tomorrow. My OB didn't call me today to discuss further so now I have to try and reach her tomorrow. I'm hoping we can induce on Friday because she is going out of town M-W next week and I don't want another doctor doing my delivery.

On another note I'm super pumped I get to meet LO soon!

I love ambien. I freaking love it. Maybe I'll think of something more interesting later but that's all I got right now. It is hard to decide when to take it when you are up every three hours. What qualifies as night?

DS1 has a terrible upper respiratory infection and has spent the last 4 nights sleeping on DH or I in the glider so he can breath. MIL offered to come over and care for DS1 tonight. I was so happy I cried.

@goldenB I wonder the same about PMS-like symptoms. These period like cramps keep building in intensity with each day that goes by, and I find myself feeling like if this doesn't mean progress is happening and I have go on for 10 more days with it worsening each day I might lose my marbles. I know it could be worse, but seriously! It's messing with my head.

We just got back from the er, DD started choking on her mucus and it freaked us out. The on call nurse i called advised us to go to the hospital to make sure that DD didn't have anything in her lungs. Everything is fine, so dh and i feel kinda silly. But our baby is healthy, thank God.

Also, my sisters and mom are coming to spend the day with DD and me tomorrow !! Especially because of our little trip to the hospital, I'm so looking forward to their visit. It's stressful being alone with the baby since dh went back to work.

If you want to read it, you can highlight the text below. (It's TL;DR, but I just needed a place to unload this because it's really weighed on me.)

Both of my SIL's best friends were pregnant with January babies with me, and one of them shared the same due date with me. I did her maternity photos a couple weeks ago, and she and her husband had also hired me to do their little boy's newborn photos after he arrived. I was so happy for them to have a baby on the way - this was their rainbow. The day of their maternity session, my DH came with me to carry my camera bag and pass me lenses, and the 4 of us chatted like old friends. Their session was like magic. They were both just beaming, and they gushed over how excited they were to become parents.

Because of their history of miscarriages, they were getting ultrasounds pretty frequently. On Monday, they went in for a routine scan to check on the baby. They had roughly days left, as she was scheduled for a c-section due to him being breech on 1/20. On Monday, they learned their little boy had passed. She was induced yesterday and delivered him very early this morning. From what I've heard, her amniotic fluid was discolored, so they're suspecting there was an infection that contributed to their son's passing.. but right now, they have no answers.

We got the call with the news on Monday night from my SIL because the couple asked her to tell me, since I was "on call" in case her water broke before their c-section date for photos. She and I cried together on the phone about how unfair it was for them.

I believe in God, and I believe that everything truly does happen for a reason, but I haven't felt this disenchanted with life since my molar pregnancy years ago.

@brideandbreve Wow. I am floored by that. I want to cry right along with you. It hurts my heart that things like this happen, with no answers and no reasons to offer as any form of consolation.

I will be loving on my inside baby extra tonight and saying a prayer.

I hate ups. They have had my breast pump since last Thursday and yet it mysteriously has not made it to my apartment. I've called 3x. They haven't even made it to my address! The truck actually was in my complex and drove by me. I just want my equipment!

I am tired of having semi painful contractions every 2min, all night long (where they wake me up so I can't sleep), then they stop once daylight hits! Urg, either be labor or not, not this weird limbo area!

Exactly- how does that happen?! Our hospital has a locking system. There's a bracelet on the baby's ankle, and when they get within 20 feet of a door, the door locks. They require a special tool to remove. Before removing it, the nurse scans the barcodes on baby and mom, removes it in front of you, and that's how you get out of the hospital.

I had this for two weeks and got excited, but OB said it was irritable uterus and not related to labor I guess they have to be consistently timeable.

This makes me sad to hear! My OB said that this is healthy uterus behavior and that it is "getting ready", although getting ready could take weeks. I took it to mean my uterus is workin out for the big marathon we've got ahead!

I don't know how it happened but there was a code ADAM on the l&d floor while I was in the nicu and the one nurse said someone tried taking the baby but they caught them. I guess they just grabbed the baby and ran. My hospital doesn't have the ankle bracelets that lock the doors they just send a message to a computer.
