Fussier than usual

So,  the past few days my 8-week old daughter has been a beast (& I mean that in the nicest, most loving way possible:) ). She wants to be held almost constantly, is crying WAY more than usual (for her), and is taking TERRIBLE naps where I practically have to just sit next to her and hold the paci in her mouth or have her sleep on my chest. What the heck is going on? She's usually pretty good. Ahhhhh!!! I'm going a little crazy! Did this happen to any of you? Should I be worried we're making bad habits bc I'm just getting her each time and basically doing whatever it takes to stop the crying. I will let her fuss for up to 5ish minutes and sometimes she works it out, but more often than not, she doesn't and I go put the paci back inner mouth or pick her up or whatever. Did any of you experience this? What'd you do? Should I just be doing whatever it takes or am I setting myself up for disaster?

    Did your LO just have her two month shots? My almost ten week old was terrible during week 8. She was so fussy and would not sleep during the day! This came as a shock because before week 8 she was such a good baby! She was like this for the next 3 days after her shots. I'm not sure if that's the reason why but I can't think of any other reason. Also the app "wonder weeks" tells you when to expect periods of fussiness and week 8 was just that.

    Agree with the PP about a Wonder Week. DS became super clingy and fussy. We had excessive crying and sleep regression.

    We seem to finally be on the other side of it. He slept 9:30 pm - 6:30 am with no MOTN wake-ups last night.
    From what I gather you can expect things to get a little easier once the WW is over.

    Don't worry about bad habits. Just comfort your baby and give her all the cuddling she needs. You may have a rough week ahead of you but your LO is making huge strides developmentally and it will get better.

    And then you'll have the 3 month GS to look forward to...

    We're in week 8 here and it's the same way. I hadn't cried in a couple of weeks, but I've had mini-breakdowns the last two days. I'm trying to plunge into it and enjoy the cuddles since I'll be back at work in a few weeks, but damn could I -- and my nipples -- use a break from this growth spurt.

    It sounds like a wonder week. Like @bmhopkins said get the wonder weeks app. That shit has changed my life. Best of luck. Were just finishing up our 8/9 week wonder week.

    There's a wonder weeks app - I think it's like $2... Definitely helpful with all the spurts and stuff!!

    Interesting...week 8 here and we had a crazy week too and I broke down and cried one day too. I also think he is beginning the early stages of teething with drooling and biting his hands and such. I need to get this wonder week app. So many I us have the same crazy week, has to be something to it.

    Yup I'm going through the exact Same thing right now. Super fussy, clingy, won't sleep, drooling, biting hands...I too think its the week 8/9 wonder week. Ugh....at least there is an end in sight.
