We were doing great with baby led weaning, and for the most part not offering too much mushy food, but baby was showing pouch envy. She was literally grabbing at other babies' pouches at daycare. I bought the Infantino Squeeze Station from Amazon a couple of weeks ago, and the day it arrived I used it immediately and loved it. I've made twenty pouches so far. Many good blends, but one of baby's favorite is pear, kale, zucchini, and banana. She also really like carrot-apple, and broccoli with sweet potato.
Anyone have any good blend suggestions? Things baby loved? Things baby hated?
Re: Baby Food Makers, Come On In
I really want to start adding in more lentils, chickpeas, etc. That's on my to-do list for this weekend.
I've made sweet potatoes, carrots, green beans, squash, pumpkin, apples, pears, bananas, mangos, avocado, raspberries, blueberries, and peas.
So far, she's a fruit gal - likes her pears, apples, bananas. The raspberries and blueberries were a little tart, so she did better when I mixed them with a little apple or yogurt.
I haven't tried my Infantino yet - I'm waiting until LO eats a little bit more. Right now, she will only take an ounce or so of baby food, so doing a whole pouch seems like a waste
Lentils are still one of his favorites from our first food days, can't wait till this kiddo seems ready!
Other mixtures he likes are butternut squash and avocado; turkey and apples; and apples, sweet potatoes, and chicken. That's all we have tried so far.
We are going to do green beans, carrots, and chicken next.
ETA: Has anyone else done meats yet? We just did a turkey combo once, but today will be his fourth day with a chicken combo.

You can season them. Check this out:

I'm getting inspired to try more blends though! I've been boring so far.
