This is probably a dear diary type post but I just wanted to say that age gaps between kids totally rocks! The age difference between my DS and my DD is 11 years. My son is so amazing and in love with his little sister. He is super helpful and loves to pick her up when she is fussy or just wants to be held. He was a LIFESAVER when I had the flu; he would change her diaper and bring her to me so she could feed then would offer to burp her. He is also at that age where he is independent so there aren't any of the jealousy issues I was afraid of. He goes off and does his thing, checks in and plays with us, then goes about his day, playing. Its pretty awesome. I think there was a benefit to him having 11 years, mainly just him and I. If I could wait again before the next, I totally would but I'm too old to let that much time pass again, LOL.
While the original plan was to "pop em out" one after another, there was a different plan for me and I am super thankful for the time I got to spend with my super-special boy

Edited to add a pic of the two ❤️ Sideways cuz I'm mobile!

My BFP Chart
BFP 12/19/08 m/c 12/26/08 4 weeks 5 days BFP 10/12/12 m/c 11/19/12 9 weeks...love you forever my angel babies!
Not only is it great to have such large age gaps for help ( I was a little mother hen with my brothers and still am ) but great birth control for me. There was no way I was getting pregnant before I was ready.
And now my son's uncles are 16 years old and 10 years old. It's really fun to see them "play" together.

Mine are almost exactly 2 years apart. (Nov 5 and Nov 8 birthdays) There are times it is challenging but I have to say I wouldn't change it for the world. ODS is amazing with his "little brother" and constantly wants to help and throw diapers away, get diapers etc. I'm so glad that they are close in age. We are done having kids so that is kind of a relief in itself.
