Silly Question - Disney on Ice

We're still with my parents, and Disney on Ice is coming to my town at the end of the month. My 2.5 year old get SO EXCITED when she sees the commercials and says "A likes that, want to go there so bad." My question is, is she too young to sit through an entire Disney on Ice performance? Should I just suck it up and pay the money even if she only sits for 15 mins? I'm very conflicted about what to do. Thanks for any insight, guys!

Re: Silly Question - Disney on Ice

  • We took my boys last winter, right before ds2 turned 2 and they both looooved it. Last year's performance wasn't much mickey andMinnie it was mostly scenes from other Disney movies, like lion king, peter pan, etc so my older one got more out of that. But ds2 definitely enjoyed it and had no problems sitting through it. We got good seats though, and I do think that helped.

  • I'd take her!! Even if she only makes it through half of it, it would be worth it if she'd love going.

  • We took my 2 & 3 year old a few weeks ago. They loved it and are still talking about it! I'm sure your daughter would love it as well!
  • I think if she's old enough to show interest on the tv, she's old enough to enjoy it. Just my opinion though :-) have fun if you decide to go!!! I'm totally looking forward to taking Ariella to these things and the circus in a couple years!!!

  • I took DS1 to Elmo Live when he was a little over two. He made it through the entire performance and loved it. And he is very active and I was surprised he did so well. We did get aisle seats just in case and let him dance in the aisle to a few songs.
  • Thanks for the input and advice, guys! I think I'll go buy the tickets now:)

We took DS1 to Sesame Street Live at 2 and he was mesmerized for all parts with Elmo. He also did great at the 2 movies he's seen at 2 1/2. I'd say go for it.

  • So funny -- my DD says the exact same thing when she sees that commercial! I would bring her, especially if she is expressing interest in going. We also took DD to Sesame Street Live last fall when she wasn't even 2 yet, and she loved it and did great up until the very end when she got a little fidgety. Disney On Ice is not coming near us (closest is NJ), but Disney Junior Live is coming to town in April and we are planning to bring her for sure.

  • I would take her. You might have to leave or she might love it!
  • I took my daughter for her 3rd bday and she cried when it was over. Take her!
