Rash/Irritation. (Maybe TMI?)

DISCHARGE. I've been dealing with this for some time, as have the rest of us ladies.  But I can't see to figure out how to stop the irritation from the increased discharge. (Forgive me if there has been a recent thread of this, I'm mobile and don't know how to search.  If there has been please post the link :) ) I use the panty liners, and that helps, but I guess from the panty liners and discharge I have a couple rash/irritated spots.

I plan on calling my doctor, but he doesn't open for another two hours :(  Is there anything you can recommend that has helped you in the past?  I just can't bare it anymore, it is ridiculously uncomfortable.

(AGAIN I am sorry if there has been anything recent that I may have missed on this, feel free to direct me to the threds)

  • Hopefully he will check you for a yeast infection. That sounds exactly like how I feel when I have a mild one. Vagisil cream helps with the pain/discomfort while I wait for my prescription.

  • @Jaysmommy06 I hope he does check, because even wearing pants is bothering me right now :( Lol.
  • Im in the same boat.. sorta. I keep breaking out in itchiness. . Not sure its a rash. Its right on the crook of my leg and its usually damp. At first I thought it was sweat or that I had peed myself??

Not sure what it is.. but its gross and causes chafing around my panties and if the crotch of my pants arnt snug.. I pay hell for it. I plan to ask dr about it today since I woke up scratching and now its really irritated.

  • Wet wipes help me- feel freshers and cleaner hence less irritated. However, you must ensure that you dont have yeast as certain wet wipes can aggravate it if it's an infection. If its just irritation on the skin due to all the extra discharge I think wet wipes help a ton.

  • Thanks Ladies!!!! You guys are wonderful.
  • I've had chafing and irritation from wetness from time to time this pregnancy ... I actually used a little bit of Desitin for a few days and it helped, gave the areas a break from the constant moisture so they cleared up

I have this at home for the LO and I was tempted to use it, but didn't know if it would work. Thank you, because I was wondering about using this.
  • I can say I feel a change down there... Not sure if I'm getting something or just a hormonal shift. And I assume as we come closer to the end the hormone would be shifting. I am talking to my doctor as well at my next apt on Thursday.
  • @sakura0019 you were right. I just used the desitine and it has already made the area feel better.
