Cold Milk

Who is still warming bottles? Should I have my MIL start trying it straight from the fridge at this point? Is this a dumb question? I'm so tired....

Re: Cold Milk

  • I've been giving the boys cold bm for awhile now. It's really up to you.

  • LO is not picky at all, so we do cold as well.

  • I'm still warming just because I feel like it makes him more comfortable.  But I've had to give him cold milk before in a crunch, and he didn't seem to mind too much.

  • I still warm them because it seems like E spits up less when they're close to body temp.

  • We never warmed LOs bottles. We feed him room temp or cold milk without any problems.

Same here. Occasionally I will run it under hot water for a minute.

  • DD won't take it cold. It has to be at least room temp but she prefers it a little warmer than that (breastmilk)
  • I make formula bottles before bed for MOTN feedings and DS sucks them down straight out of the fridge. Warm or cold never mattered to him.

  • DS1 didn't care. DH tells me DS2 is extremely picky about temperature.

  • I have only warmed two bottles for DS and that's only because he seemed a little finicky on cold fridge milk for a few days. He is now back to cold milk and I wasted $40 on a milk warmer

  • I have only given DS room temperature or warm bottles . Never cold. He doesn't prefer one over the other.
  • LO would have a hard time eating a cold bottle. He would stop eating and make weird noises like he was trying to catch his breath. We stick to warm and day care warms with sink water. All bottles are EBM, FYI.
  • We have to warm it. She barely will drink lukewarm milk.
  • This might be gross, but I have to warm my breast milk if I am giving a bottle because the fat in the milk is still solid if it's cold.

  • LO doesn't have a preference on the temperature of the milk. She'll pretty much eat at any temperature.

  • She spits up more if it's cold, but we give her room temperature water all the time. My mom, who watches her while I work, always warms the bottle and it irks me.
  • Elliot refuses cold milk so I still warm them when he gets a bottle.
