I had finally gotten Jude asleep from rocking him in the recliner. It was time to transfer him to his boppy to try to get some sleep myself. Well dh and I carefully moved him over, and wide awake he became. That's also when Dudley decided to take my blanket completely for himself. This picture is the result of this epic fail. (I'm actually laughing).

Long! Baby is eating every 1-2 hours for 30-40 minutes at a time. I have a migraine and toothache and just want to sleep!

I don't know what's worse, hungry baby in the middle of the night or bright eyed "I just feel like staring at the ceiling" baby in the middle of the night.... Lucky you're cute Brady! Hopefully we will be soundly sleeping soon!!

Up for overnight feeding number one. This one went fine and she's sound asleep now. Sometimes I go to put her down and her eyes snap open so we will see.
Earlier she was screaming crying like every 10 minutes from about 7 to 11. Second night in a row and nothing was wrong with her. Praying it is not colic!

Up for feeding #2. I went to bed with her around 930. I can't decide if it is better to go to bed later and get up twice or go to bed early and get up three times. I'll check back in after feeding #3...

Up for a feeding, then I have to pump for the next feeding (LC has me pumping the left side for a couple days so my damaged nipple can heal). I am just grateful that so far baby is handling it well with no nipple confusion.

On another note, we have newborn pics on Friday, and I don't know what I am going to do for outfits for LO....I didn't buy any of those special hats or anything.

I'm pissed off. DH and I had an agreement that he'd give a bottle of breastmilk while I pumped at night because I was getting so incredibly stressed with her lazy night time eating habits. After being home all day with her yesterday, and him literally "helping" by holding her for 30 mins when she was sleeping when he got home at 9p, he wouldn't get up now. So since I can't deal with attempting to nurse at night, I'm bottle feeding her AND will be pumping for an hour. Then also be home alone again all day with no help until 9pm. Probably another half hour sleeping hold. Thanks for nothing DH.

Same here...it started yesterday so last night and tonight LO has been nursing every hour. I wasn't even able to pump this morning! She is currently attached and my boobs have been sucked dry...

I'm going back to work next week, so I decided we need to work on having LO sleep in the pack n play instead of on me. Of course she doesn't agree with that and everytime I put her down she wakes up and starts crying. We're back on the couch and she's on my chest asleep and I'm wide awake

@boothbaby If you're going to a profession newborn photographer, they'll have the hats. Call to make sure.

Just did feeding #2 and got nearly 4 hrs in between, but now she is so grunty and proceeded to poop the fresh diaper I just changed minutes after putting it on. Now she is wide awake. I just shut off the small light I had on in hopes she'll get the hint, but she doesn't sound like she is settling down...

I'm having the exact same problem and I go back to work on Monday. I was hoping to get LO to sleep in her PNP or RNP by this week. No such luck. DHs friend has a four month old and he says he still can't get him to sleep anywhere but his chest. This gives me no hope!

That doesn't give me much hope either! I kind of feel like it's my fault because I'm the one that let her sleep on me in the first place :-/ we'll try again after the next feeding I guess.

DH is on nightshift so I rarely get help at all on days he's working because when he's not working he's sleeping. So night times are the hardest that's why its hard to post here anymore. Plus I do feedings 1/2 asleep most of the time anyway so. Yeah. Kinda pointless. I'm tired.. but I'm up feeding if course

Up feeding, but LO just slept 4 hours! So happy because last night she was up for like 3 hours wanting to eat (growth spurt) and she was ripping apart my nipples! So thankful for that sleep, now if we could get another 2-3 hours, I'll be happy! Like many pp, many times she seems sound asleep and I'll move her off of me into something else and bam! Wide awake! You kinda wanna cry but then just look at their sweet face and start the process all over again.

LO slept from 10-2 and I woke him up to eat (which I never do) because I'm up and he was starting to wiggle around and grunt a bit, so I figured it was only a matter of time before he woke up on his own. I was sleeping without a bra or anything on trying to let my nipples air out because of thrush. I was laying on a towel because they leak so much. It's a good thing I was because all of the sudden I felt this burning and then milk starts pouring out of both boobs. I went to the bathroom and then got a bra and pads to put on and by the time I did there were puddles on the bathroom floor! I'm trying to remember to be grateful that I have such a good supply.

I'm here again. So tired my eyeballs are dried out. This is feeding #3. She has slept great btwn all the feedings tonight but they've been every 3 hrs, so only two hrs of sleep time in btwn. Most nights she goes 4 hrs.

Why is it that when DH snores while I'm up feeding baby it's like this soft low snore yet when I finally get her situated, asleep in her bed his snores morph into these demon from hell shnockle sounds that could wake the dead? He says he has no control, bull cocky!

Yeah, LO is def going through his growth spurt. Good thing I went to sleep early! He wants to eat every hour. Is there such thing ss a five week growth spurt? Maybe its the 6week one early?

Up with my little faker. Acts like she is done eating then 15 minutes later is rooting and fussing again. Then I think she is asleep and as soon as I lie down in bed the fussing starts and turns into crying, Every time. Oh well, could be worse.
