Most names are names with good associations that I don't want to lose by naming my own child the same name.

Such a shame. It's a great name with so many good nn options. There was a terrible girl in my high school named Elizabeth, and another one at my college. It was a Christian school and she gave up being mean to me for Lent.

My husband also had an ex-girlfriend by that name. She wasn't mean or anything, she just rubbed me the wrong way.

Charles. The only good male family name unused by my nephews, and I love it, esp with NN Charlie, so I would love to use it. But my best friend from high school is Charles and my ex-boyfriend is Charlie, so either one alone, and definitely both together, take it off the table.

And all these people thinking its cute to name or NN their daughter Charlie are bumming me out. Oh and my DH's good friend just named his son Charlie

Brandon - I dated two guys with this name and it did not go well with either of them!

Fiona. My SILs friend who is a selfish person and a weak mother.

Tyler. 3 ADHD boys with this name in one special education course I subbed. I can't shake the association.

Lindsey-DH's ex gf who he had two kids with before we met. Looove their girls but hate her. She makes nasty comments on Twitter with her friends about me and then tags me in it. She's 28. Grow up. She also threw hissy fits when I wanted the girls as flower girls. She just loves to cause problems.

Also can't us Thomas at all. Psychos in my family named that. Can't use Joshua, Ann, Jason or Chantal.

Solange - FI's not-so-nice grandmother. We love this name but cannot bring up the bad memories associated with the person.

Annabelle - love this name but worked with a girl who was BSC.
