Congrats to everyone for making it here! This check-in is for graduates of the 2IF board (and any other secondary infertility grads). If you are new to the check-in, please let us know your due date and you will be added for next week.
Everyone who posted last week has major stuff going on, it seems. Yeah! Mlamping, I hope your tests continue to turn out okay and that you can make it to 1/16. Huskermama, I was hoping that previa would move! Dang it. Hopefully your baby girl will wait until 1/16 too, and that your delivery will be smooth and uneventful. MJC1116, excited for you to make it to v-day this week! And, that bites about the $3000 bill! Ugh. Luckyu317, can’t wait to hear about your a/s, and congrats on your negative MaterniT21 test results. Chrissy1276, can’t wait to hear about your a/s too. Uagirl and Almostwright, congrats on coming up on the end of the first tri! That’s a huge milestone! Kndeckar, congrats on hopefully graduating to your OB! Looking forward to reading everyone’s updates since so much is going on with everyone!

Re: **2IF Grad Check-In**
I haven't been feeling as good the past few days, just a lot of discomfort in my abdomen and problems sleeping are back. I woke up during the night last night with a sore throat (and now my ears hurt), plus the normal hip pain, ear cartilage pain (I had this with DS too), hands falling asleep during the night, and terrible congestion. I feel like a zombie. But baby girl is kicking a lot and active, which is so wonderful to feel. I have an appointment Friday (a belated 24 week apt), and I'll have my glucose challenge test. I failed this with DS and went on to pass the GTT. Wish me luck. And, best news of all, I'm 24 weeks, so I made it to V-Day last week!
QOTW: DS is getting more used to the idea of a baby in the house. At first, he wasn't thrilled (he's 7 and old enough to know babies cry and poop a lot!), but he's coming around. I'm a SAHM and babysit a little 2-year old girl part-time, and he is great with her. I know he will love this baby, and can't wait to see them together! I have him scheduled for a sibling preparation class for older kids, and I think he is secretly excited about it.

37.4 weeks today and feeling quite large and uncomfortable (as is to be expected). The last several days I've noticed in increase in BH and lots of back cramping and pressure and pain in the tailbone region. Had a regular check-up on Friday, but no real news since they cannot do any examinations.
I did post yesterday about a little field trip to L&D on Saturday night. I was having contractions about 2-3 mins apart for a period of time, then they would stop and start up again. After 1 1/2 hours they started an IV and things never did progress further so they let us go. Was supposed to have my last appointment again this Friday before next week's C-section, but the doc's office just called this afternoon as a follow-up and want to see me now tomorrow for another u/s....and I will actually get to see my OB instead of a PA....hooray! Purely speculation at this point, but guessing since they will be checking the placenta again that if anything is starting to efface they may discuss bumping the c/s date up so that I don't have a rupture or go into labor on my own. If nothing else, at least I can see my OB before the big day (haven't seen him since 35 weeks!) and ask any questions I have about the c/s itself.....still so nervous about the whole thing.
Will post an update tomorrow !
4. QOTW: How is your child (or your children) adjusting to the idea of a baby on the way? If you have not yet told him/her/them, when do you plan to break the news?
DD is SUPER excited! She has wanted a sibling for the longest time and I'm so happy that she will finally get to experience being a big sister. She is already very thoughtful and has a very tender heart so I know she will be great. We did a big sibling class at the hospital and have tried to prep her as much as we can for what changes lie ahead. I'm sure it will be a bit of an adjustment for everyone, but I'm sure we'll manage. Can't wait to see them together!
@tryingyetagain good luck with your test and hope you feel better soon! DD really liked her sibling class so I'm sure you DS will as well.

2IF issues
1. How many weeks along are you? I'm 11 weeks today (can't believe it)
2. Any medical updates (appointments, ultrasounds, tests/results, etc.)? I had my first appointment today with my OB and she was so sweet she personally did an ultrasound and gave me three more pictures. Amazing how the baby looks like a baby already.
3. How are you feeling lately? I'm pretty nauseous still and very tired. Also have been dealing with some heartburn/indigestion which is new this pregnancy.
4. QOTW: How is your child (or your children) adjusting to the idea of a baby on the way? If you have not yet told him/her/them, when do you plan to break the news? We don't plan to tell DD until as close to our DD as possible. She will be three in March and will be so excited that all we will hear is "when is the baby coming" all day long! I'm sure she knows something is going on because we talk about things in front of her sometimes but will wait as long as possible or at least until I'm really showing to sit her down and tell her she's going to be a big sister.

1. How many weeks along are you? I'm 10 weeks
2. Any medical updates (appointments, ultrasounds, tests/results, etc.)? I have my first appointment with my OB on Wednesday. I'm so excited to see my LO and have my MH see him/her for the first time. He hadn't been able to come to any of my monitoring appointments because they were all in the morning before work and someone had to be home with DD.
3. How are you feeling lately? Like ass! I've been feeling so nauseous and full. I wasn't like this with either of my other pregnancies. Still, I'm incredibly grateful that I have this wonderful reason to feel terrible.
4. QOTW: How is your child (or your children) adjusting to the idea of a baby on the way? If you have not yet told him/her/them, when do you plan to break the news? She's 2 and 2 months, so I don't think she gets it. Her daycare teacher is pregnant and really beginning to show, which I think will help her understand the concept. I'll probably start talking about it more with her as I begin to show.
1.) I'm 9 weeks
2.) I had my second u/s with RE last week & all looked well. We heard the hb and got several pics. Hard to believe how much it started to look like a baby from week 6 to week 8. Now I've graduated to my OB & I have my first appt with her at the end of this month.
3.) eh...not terrible but not great. I have good days and bad. It's a balancing act of trying not to let my stomach get too empty or too full. I feel like my nausea has subsided some this week, but my fatigue has gotten worse.
4.) DD will be 3 in April, but I'm surprised how much she understands. She seems very excited to be a big sister & have a baby brother/sister. She wanted to hold my new baby niece who's 8 weeks old over the weekend & she was so sweet to her I almost started to cry!
Good luck huskermama and mlamping! So close to meeting your babies
1. How many weeks along are you? 12 weeks! I am very excited to be almost done with first trimester.
2. Any medical updates (appointments, ultrasounds, tests/results, etc.)? Regular OB appt last week and all looked good. The dr found the heartbeat on the doppler around 150. NT scan was today so we got to see our peanut. He/she was sucking its thumb at first and later started moving around more and clapping its hands. Too cute! The heartbeat was much higher today--175 and 181 when she checked. I am not sure why and worried it was too high, but the tech said no. The nuchal fold measurements were good, so just waiting on bloodwork for the final results!
3. How are you feeling lately? Still nauseous on and off
I had my OB appt friday and late that night started some pretty severe pain on the right side, about where you would expect round ligament pain. I have never experienced it so strong, but when I spoke to the dr she said it could be worse from the scar tissue in there. I had a lap earlier this year and my right tube was removed, along with some adhesions attaching my intestines places (probably from when my appendix leaked as a kid). Anyone experience this? Of course I am worried even after today's great scan. I did mention it today at the ultrasound and she checked but didn't see any masses or bleeding which is good. DS had his 4th birthday party this weekend, and I felt so bad that I was a bit out of it from the pain and being up all night. Nausea I expect, but pain is concerning!
4. QOTW: How is your child (or your children) adjusting to the idea of a baby on the way? If you have not yet told him/her/them, when do you plan to break the news? DS turns 4 this week, and he is so excited to be a big brother. He tells random people he is going to be a big brother this summer, so I think we will reveal our news later this week. He has been asking for a sibling (he really wants a sister though) for a while now, and while I don't think he completely gets the changes to come he is excited to help out, and tells me all the things he will do. Love that kid!

~Any medical updates or appointments? I had my A/S last week and everything looks great. Baby is measuring right on track. Next appointment is 1/29
~How are you feeling? I've had a few headaches off and on, but I think it's because I'm not sleeping well. Darn you, insomnia. Otherwise, I'm doing pretty great.
~How is your child adjusting... DS is 3 1/2, and I think he knows that there's another baby coming, but I'm sure he has no idea how different things will be when baby actually gets here. We're trying to talk to him about it everyday and keep telling him how important it is to be a big brother and all of the cool stuff he'll be able to teach the baby how to do. He was funny at our ultra sound when we learned we are having another boy. He looked at DH, then looked at me, got this really sad look on his face and said ''but mommy, I really wanted it to be a sister''.
Thanks! Turned out I have a nasty case of the flu and spent a chunk of Tuesday in the ER getting IV fluids and medicine. Now DH and DS have it. And we all got the flu vaccine! Hopefully all the cough drops won't affect the glucose test tomorrow!

@tryingyetagain that is terrible! So sorry to hear you have been sick and hope your household is on the mend soon! It must be going around everywhere. A colleague in the office (who I might add was due with her first yesterday) has been violently ill since Wednesday and DH says there are several of his co-workers out sick as well. Yuck!
Rest up!!!
