My LO loves being in the water... He is so relaxed, but he hates getting undressed for a bath, getting washed, getting dried, and getting dressed haha. He'd be good if we could just leave him in the water
Oh yea, you would think I was torturing her. I can only imagine what my neighbor thinks. She looked so cute in the hammock over the tub, I couldn't help but laugh at how upset she was. Awful mom right here.
Mine doesn't really cry but it's so sad...she sort of whimpers and has a scared look on her face when I put her in the tub. Breaks my heart.
I use 2 washcloths; 1 I get wet with the warm water and put it on her belly to help keep her warm. Then I get it done as quick as I can so I can get her out & cuddled.

Yes!! He gets SO angry when he gets a bath. He screams so loudly that its startling, and he usually turns bright red with fury. If he realizes the bath isn't too bad and calms down, he quickly becomes aware of his calmness and makes up for it with a vengeance.
My son hates bath time. He screams or cries throughout most of his baths. I also think part of it is that my DH and I are not very proficient at giving him baths. My son almost always cries when he gets his diaper changed too. He hates being undressed.
Archer hated it until we learnt the wet wash cloth trick and now he just sits there calm and quiet he only gets upset when we pull him out of the warm bath before getting him wrapped in the towel.
DS1 hated bath time until I started bathing with him. Keep the bouncer right beside the tub with a towel in it. Get in the tub then get the baby. That way you can bathe and soothe close to you. Then place baby back in the bouncer and wrap in towel and you can get out.
After we did this a few times, DS1 was ok with all baths... With and without me.

This 100%! Our first DD hated baths until I got in there with her. Literally took one time and she was good. Baths can be very sensory overloading for babies. Turn up the heat so the bathroom is really warm and get in the tub. Don't use a lot of smelly bath soap and just keep it nice and calm. Good luck!

What trick is that? My LO screams so bad the entire bath time until she gets wrapped in her towel.
We've been doing ours on a towel on the kitchen counter, kind of like the bath they get in the hospital. He sort of cried the first time but now he just lays there. We started doing it so he wouldn't get so cold so quick to save some of his calories because he wasn't gaining weight as quickly as he should. I think we'll keep doing them this way until he's big enough to "play" and it gets warmer out. Another thing we do is have his towel and a blanket in the dryer warming up. He loooooves that part.
Slogans hated it, until we used her spa bath tub. She loves feeling the bubbles and jet on her back and butt. It's the cutest thing, she just lays there with a look like she's in heaven.

I've been wanting to try this! Glad you wrote about it

Just soak a wash cloth in the warm water and lay it on baby's chest/tummy it keeps them nice and warm during the bath

Ditto all of this. I wish I could remember what age he was when we started, but it only took a few times and he was cool with his bath. Going to have to try it with Ben soon.
One tip that I do remember was to only try it when another adult is home, because you could slip or pass out or something, and baby would drown.

Cameron hated the bath every time until last night. H was pouring the water over him slowly with a cup and he stopped crying long enough to realize he liked it. Then he smiled til bath time was over haha
Mine even loathes sponge baths. She does not like being cold and unclothed! However, she does love having her hair washed....she's fallen asleep every time I've done it.
My LO is pretty content during bath time as long as there is a warm rag on her belly, she LOVES when I shampoo her hair. She's got a ton of hair, like seriously goes past her neck in the back and past her ears on the side.
This pic is when she got her first bath at the hospital, I wasn't there but my mom took pics and she was smiling the whole time she got her hair shampooed! Little diva!
Reid LOVES baths in the tub, I say it's because I took so many when I was pregnant he hated the sponge baths for the first 2 weeks. He would stay in the bath all day if I kept adding warm water. This picture makes him look kinda sad in there, but he just lounges in the hammock part with the tummy cloth over him while I pour cups of water on him I got the tummy cloth as a shower gift (buy buy baby or babies r us...can't remember where they got it)...but you can always just use your regular size one.
DS1 hated bath time until I realized it may be because the room was cold, so I started running the hot shower while he was being bathed in his tub on the bathroom counter. I would let it get really steamy and warm in the bathroom and then he loved bath time.

Also, I have the flower bath too, but in blue!
