I had an Ob appointment today(3rd one total, 1st one with my Ob) and I got to schedule my csection/hysterectomy for May 12! 125 days to go. All of a sudden this feels a lot more real.

ETA I'll be 38 weeks

I am sorry if its to personal to ask but why the hysterectomy? I have been thinking of getting a tubal after my c-section pregnancy is to hard on my body. I was just wondering if you were opting for hysterectomy instead of a tubal or if there was another reason. I am trying to do as much research as I can

Congrats on the date. My OBs options were the 12th or 13th. We opted for the 13th since it's our anniversary! Crazy that it's 126 days away!

It's not by choice. I have a lot of fibroids, so many they can't count them. I had a myomectomy in 2011 to remove 17 fibroids, two were the size of a grapefruit each. This is why I have to have a csection, I can go into labor because of multiple incisions in my uterus. Then, my surgeon said to crank out as many kids as we want as fast as possible (after proper healing times) so that once the fibroids got bad again I could have a hysterectomy. When I had DD in 2012 they took out 8 more fibroids during the csection. Now I have so many they can't even count them. So although I would sort of like the option of a third baby, I don't really have a choice. I'm mostly ok with it, I feel really lucky we managed to get 2 kids already.

That's my DD's birthday! Great day

ps, that makes me sad that my first will be 2 in 126 days.
