To those who survived the 3 week growth spurt...

Any advice? My LO is so fussy, and nothing seems to work when trying to calm him except more boob time. I was trying to put in at least an hour between feedings, but it's even getting hard to do that. He won't nap even though he is yawning like crazy. I love him but he might drive me to drink lol

  • A swing or a sling is always my go to.
It shouldn't last long just try to get sleep when you can

  • Playmat time, foot rubs, pacing, baby wearing, Youtube 8 hrs of lullabies, paci, and above all boob time. That last one was the only guarantee for us!
  • I'm in the thick of it too..I know how much it sucks! Just gotta power through..5 S's! I'll take any advice anyone offers though too! :)

  • I'm there too - yesterday LO was awake from 10am - 3pm eating non-stop. She finally started taking a paci yesterday after rejecting it for a week before and she has been really taking it now in between feedings. Good luck!!

  • I was about to post something about this 3 week growth spurt too. My LO is 3 weeks today and has been fussy, eating non stop, crying since 12 am this morning. He has only slept about 3 hours since 12. I already tried bathing him, started giving him a paci for the first time today, rocking him, everything and nothing seems to work. HOW LONG DOES THIS LAST?????
  • Thanks for the ideas ladies. We are gonna try everything until we find something that works :). I normally love our swing because he is so relaxed in it, but he is very hot and cold about it right now.... it used to be our secret weapon.
We are toughing it out together though while dh is at work, but my request for fast food and a beer has been put in lol

  • Ps- I was told it can last anywhere from 3-7 days. Good luck to everyone else going through this with their LO's too

  • I haven't noticed a difference yet and LO will be 3 weeks on Thursday. I never noticed a 10 day growth spurt either. Hopefully I'm not just starving my baby and not noticing :(
  • I second anyone that said baby carrier or sling. Worked miracles, that of my rocking chair.

  • Ugh mine has been so fussy, but today was a little better so I'm hoping the spurt is ending. The last few days were stressful. Agh

  • Ok so mine is 3 weeks today but I haven't really noticed much difference in her eating habits. Do they all act out during this growth spurt?

No. You're okay. She may be saving it for the 6 weeks one too
