Fussing v crying

How does everyone handle fussing at night? Finn doesn't cry too often unless he's hungry or has pooped, but he snorts and fusses a lot when I'm not holding him. nSometimes he works up to crying and other times he'll settle back down.

Do you ignore the fussing or try to soothe your baby each time? I've been picking him up or giving him the pacifier most times, but sometimes I wait it out a little. If he cries I get him right away or as soon as I can get to him. How do you handle fussing as opposed to crying?

  • ^^^^ what she said. I go to actual crying right away. Everything else gets a few second pause to see what's going on.
  • Yep, pause and wait until he figured out if he wants to cry or not. Usually he works up to a cry, but sometimes he doesn't.

  • @northport6 I giggled so hard I peed a little! Yeah I wait til it's wailing type of cry.
  • LO very rarely cries so fussing I pretty much just feed him because even if he did go back to sleep he'd be up very soon anyways. A lot of times he just grunts. Sometimes he's pooping, most of the time just letting me know he's still there lol
