31 week ultrasound today (PIP)

So I had my 31 week growth U/S today. Baby is 4 lbs. 1 oz. and all is looking good. The LO would hardly hold still the whole time and they could see that the baby was practicing breathing a lot which indicates good lung development. They were even able to tell us that the baby already has hair! LOL. The best though was when they got a shot of the face. I could see the chubby cheeks! :-)

    Congrats on a great appointment!
    Me-41, Hubby-40.
    1st BFP-8/17/12!  Missed Miscarriage discovered @ 8 week US.  D&C.
    2nd BFP-2/13/13!  Blighted Ovum discovered @ 8 week US. Natural miscarriage.
    3rd BFP-5/22/13!  By early June, progesterone plummeting.  Another loss.
    August 2013 - started Donor Egg process, but surprise BFP with my own eggs.

    Wonderful!!!  I go next Tuesday for my next apt and we will also have an ultrasound, I'm thrilled to see lo, not thrilled about the extra monitoring.  4lbs sounds big... is it?  I really don't know except that I think my lo is supposed to be about 2.5 right now...

    I'm expecting a hairy baby too with all this heartburn!  Yes it is an oldwives tale but proven to be true for all of my past pregnancies all babies had hair and I have always suffered with horrible heartburn!

    LOL I asked the tech the same thing when I heard 4 lbs. She said that is 55th percentile for weight at this point in my pregnancy, I'm 31 weeks & 2 days. So it's pretty average I guess. I am freaking out at the potential of having a 8 to 9 pound baby. As far as the heartburn old wives tale, I have had absolutely none and apparently the baby has hair so I guess so much for that.

    How exciting! I am terrible at "deciphering" these u/s pics. I can't really see anymore than a blur but that is awesome you could see the cute cheeks. Not sure when my next u/s will be but can't wait to see LO again soon.
