Sleeping

Miss Lilly will no longer sleep anywhere except my chest. I let her fall asleep on my chest then when i put her down she will only stay asleep for about max 5 minutes then cries. She won't sleep on my moms chest just mine, she is 5 weeks on Thursday. And has only started doing this a few days ago.

Does anyone else's LO's do this?

It has gotten worse as she has gotten older. I use to be able to get her asleep and transfer her to the rock and sleep, but the last couple days she wakes a few minutes after I put her in there and ends up sleeping on me most of the night. Sleep is rough going around here.

Mine sometimes does this in the morning. She won't fall asleep in the bassinet around 6/7 so she ends up on my chest for maybe 1/2 hr to an hr and then I put her down.

My 5wk LO was doing this last night, he was falling asleep feeding and the second I put him in his basket woke up screaming, repeat process for 3-4hrs. But then i turned the temp down so i could swaddle him and he finally went to sleep in his cot. And slept 6hrs! Yay! Biggest sleep yet

DS sleeps fine during the day in his swing, or now his boppy...but at night he won't sleep anywhere but on our chests. :-/ I don't know what to do.

I feel ya. My LO ( 5 weeks 3 days) wants to sleep on my chest as well. I think he just likes to sleep on his belly. If I move him to his back he is up in 15 mins. I wish I could just move him to his crib and let him sleep on his belly but I get scared.

Mine is the opposite. She will sleep fine at night but during the day it's like she has to be touching me.

LO generally does great in the rnp, but after about 4-5am, she will only sleep with me. And she doesn't last more than 5 minutes in her crib, and not much better in the bassinet.

Yep Lily won't sleep in her bassinet at night..it's awful. The last few days she won't sleep during the day anywhere else but on me or DH. I am hoping it is just her 3 week growth spurt because she was napping other places a few days ago then it all changed and I obviously can't get much done if I'm holding her all the time.

My almost 4 week old does this. It seems to be worse at night but I think that might just be me because I just so desperately want to sleep.

She hates the crib. I let her fall asleep in my arms and gingerly try to place her in the crib without waking her. Sometimes it works, sometimes she wakes up and I have to start all over. It's a lot like this:

G is 4 weeks and has been doing this since day 1. If I put her down next to me in bed she somehow manages to wiggle her way as close to me as she can - which would be hilarious if it weren't 3AM.

Yes. She's been doing this the past week or so. I'm really hoping it's just the 6 week growth spurt, because I don't know how much longer I can keep functioning like this.

Mine prefers to sleep on my chest anytime. During the day she does best in her swing. At night she will sleep some in her RNP and some on me. She's been very fussy the past few days... I'm thinking it was her 3 week growth spurt.

This is us. She'll sleep anywhere and through anything during the day. After 11pm it's all downhill she wants to be held and rocked until. 5am. It's exhausting!!!!!!!!
