My daughter has been coughing really bad today after having a cold for 2 weeks and I made an appointment for later. The lady wanted to see her really quick because of her age and there isn't much she can take as far as medicine and then she said if they hear something in her chest they have something to give her? Does anybody know what they give them? I know alot of babies have been sick

  • A nebulizer with steroid treatment is what was given to a friend of mine's son who is 9 months.

  • Could be a nebulizer or antibiotics. I brought my lo in yesterday to have her cough checked out. Thankfully was just post nasal drip. Feel so bad for her.
    3 ectopic pregnancies (EDD's 1/30/12-tube removed, 6/2/12-methotrexate and 10/2/12-methotrexate)
IVF and Natural FET resulted in BFN's and a hole in our wallets
Natural BFP #4 on 9/7/12 gave us our miracle on 5/18/13

  • Thank you, I was just curious. I feel so bad for her :(

  • Dh took ds to the doctor for his cough on Friday. He has fluid build up in both lungs. We managed to catch it before it turned into full blown pneumonia. He also had the beginning signs of an ear infection. He was prescribed amoxicillin for 10 days. I take him back to the doc on sat.

I'm worried about the amoxicillin if that happens. DH and I are both allergic to it

I was worried about allergies in general passing on, since I am pretty much allergic to everything.  The doctor told me that specific allergies don't pass, it's the tendency toward allergy that passes, so she will probably have allergies, just not the same ones as you necessarily.

  • DD was given a nebulizer and an antibiotic as she was beginning to develop pneumonia :-(

    The oral antibiotic was Amoxocillan.
