Ugh emotions NOT in check

I just had an appt and I can never keep my emotions in check! I don't know if it's all the newborns and pregnant people around in the next office but I cried the whole appointment for no particular reason. Usually I am anxious or hot and sweaty or red faced in her office and only in her office. Generally I'm not like that but my doctor would never know that side! Other than her and hubby, I'm pretty unemotional about this journey to others so it probably can't help but come out. Still it's embarrassing. Thanks for letting me share. Does anyone have suggestions for holding back tears or preventing the anxiety?

Re: Ugh emotions NOT in check

  • Sorry you are having a hard time. Idk? Everyone processes things differently. I'm pretty stoic at the Drs, and when things really derail me, I save my breakdowns for at home. I wouldn't feel bad about it though, you obviously need to cry, so it's better you just let it out.

  • Sorry no suggestions but I get really anxious at my appts too. I am fine in the waiting room but on the visits that I have a dr consult, I get so anxious. It's almost like I rush through the appt because I have so much anxiety. Normally I go by myself and the one time that DH came with me, he commented afterwards that he was surprised I didn't have questions.

I hope that you find something to help but wanted you to know you are not the only one that feels like that!
