Would someone please explain to me when the crosshairs will show up on my chart? I believe I O'd on cycle day 12/13. This is my first month temping so forgive me for being a moron

I think your open circle on day 14 is making FF not sure... but based on your temps it looks like you did o on 12/13... try closing that circle and see if it will give you crosshairs then....

@ksgsmu - I changed the open circle (it was because I temped a half hour earlier than usual), but it still didn't do anything. Hummm.....maybe tomorrow?

I agree with K. It looks like you O'd on CD 13. It takes 3 days of post-O temps before FF will confirm your O date. Probably tomorrow!

If you don't see a confirmation tomorrow, try adjusting your method of detection from Advance to OPK.

Can someone take a peek at my chart too? I'm very confused. Monitor/OPK would suggest I probably O'd yesterday, but temps are telling a different story I think. If I discard either of the open circle temps from Friday or Saturday, FF thinks I O'd on CD10. Which would give us pretty good timing. If the monitor/OPK is right, I'm probably out this month. We were having some performance anxiety issues on CD11 and 12 :-(

the temps are so confusing. I don't have any advice for you b/c I'm not an expert. I'm 5DPO and had a temp dip below my coverline which scares me.

I don't know if that's good or bad. Of course, I think I was sleeping with my mouth open which may have made a difference? So confused!

@heathereb23, the open circles are throwing FF off, as this is also your first month, it doesn't know your patterns yet. Were you early or late in taking temps those days?

@czarmom open mouth breathing does effect the temps, it can throw a curveball in, but you need to look at patterns not specifically single days. 5dpo dip is not unusual if it stays low it can be an in issue.

Yes, open circle temps were taken an hour or so later than my usual temping time. Should I discard those or change the time to be within my usual window? I was hesitant to alter things too much. I did discard briefly just to see what happened, but put it back. Without one of the 2 open circles I get CHs on CD10, which makes no sense if you look at my monitor and OPK readings...

if its an hour or so later your temp could be higher, as you continue temping this month FF could still adjust. Remember the OPk and stuff all tell you, you are gearing up for O you can gear up more then once in a cycle, if for some reason you don't O.....so just keep doing what your doing and try to be consistant in when you take yuor temp. That will help take alot of guessing out of teh game.

p.s on weekends I still set the alarm for 6 temp and go back to sleep.

I finally got CH! I think FF sort of split the difference between my temps and CBEFM/OPK readings. Hopeful that it's pretty close and we have a small chance with BD on -2.

@heathered23 you think you O on cd 10? well don't get to frustrated, sperm *can* live up to 5 days in a *fertile* conditions. so if you do get a bfp this cycle most likely it will be a girl, the x carrying sperm live longer

Who knows anymore! FF said CD11 yesterday, and changed its mind to CD12 this morning (which is consistent with my CBEFM and OPK readings). I guess I have to trust that it's right, even though my temp spike started on CD10.

And LOL, I was reading about the Shettles method on the TTGP newbie blog this morning and also thought, if there is any validity to it, that on the very small chance I got PG this month it would probably be a girl!

@czarmom, I have to admit that I don't temp yet (it just seems so intimidating!), So I don't have a super-educated opinion, But it still sounds promising for you. Really hoping this cycle is it for you!
