Cutest thing

OK I know we all are struggling with sleep, feeding and just general worry but what is the thing that melts your heart when your LO does it?

For me, it's his pouty face when he's just a little unhappy. He had the cutest little lower lip pout and I have a hard time not laughing at him when he makes that face.

Let's hear yours! (or see if you can catch a photo of it)

Re: Cutest thing

  • I second the swaddle stretch! When I unwrap him in the morning he has the cutest stretches and faces..

I also love his "ooohhhhhhhhhhh" coo! He does it right after a sigh and it cracks me up every time..

And if course when he smiles when I say " you're so handsome just like your daddy"..

I can't wait for smiles! ! Mine is trying but not quite there yet.

And the stretches are pretty Damn cute!

The way he gives me the biggest smile when I open his blinds and greet him in the morning.

I also like how he tracks me with his eyes when I am moving around the room.

The coos he does when he's getting sleepy are so precious.

And I think it's so cute how he yells at me when he's getting hungry. He makes the funniest sound. It's almost like a meow.

I LOVE her "piggy face" when she's rooting - she doesn't do this much anymore :(, she's learned how to get food.  I love "milky face" when she's full and milk dribbles down her face.

I love her "I'm going to poop" face.  She'll stop, look directly at you, and you just know it's coming!

I love big stretches when she's out of the swaddle (she stretches both arms straight up over her head).  And sleeping smiles - I can't wait until we get awake smiles!! :-D

ETA: and I love after she sneezes she makes this sigh/"ugh" type sound.  Makes me laugh every time!
  • Morning smiles and stretches, sneezes, and nursing smiles
  • My LO is just starting to smile when you talk to her. Its the best. I also love her pouty face with the lower lip action. She makes the most adorable noises and grunts in her sleep.
Her bed head is usually adorable and how her lips fall open and to the side when she is sleeping. I could go on and on… her big blue eyes and how in every picture I take she looks so serious, like she is concerned or something.

Sleep and the 6 week growth spurt aside, every second is spent analyzing and appreciating her adorableness :)

Our babies are amazing, that is for certain :)

  • This post makes me happy. :D I LOVE DDs smile, her eyes get squinty and she gets so excited. I also love when she's in a super good mood she yells out "goo!!" In a high pitched tone. Oh, and when she's nursing, she makes so many noises you can hear across the house and over the phone.
  • I used to get excited for the morning stretches, because he puts his arms behind his neck and does a big muscle man stretch and an "OOOH" face. Now it's the smiles that melt my heart though. No one told me about the smiles.
  • I love all smiles and giggles, and also when he tilts his head and stretches his neck out. Also he's now starting to follow DH and I with his eyes when we move around the room :).
  • I love his morning stretches as well! He gets all stiff and arches his back and purses his lips :-) I also love his smiles and he laughs in his sleep a lot, which is adorable. Also, when he stares out the window over my shoulder when we are in his glider and makes smacking noises with his mouth. I could go on and on as well!image
This kinda shows what I mean when he looks out the window.
  • Definitely the social smiles but also the sleep and nursing smile. I told DH that's totally why the Duggar woman did this 19 times.

  • When she smiles in her sleep, it gets me every time!  I also love it when she is nursing, she acts like it is the BEST thing ever.  She gulps, makes noise, and gets so upset when I try to burp her or switch sides.

@PeachyBellaI totally know what you mean about the Duggar Mamma,  these cute baby moments are addicting!

  • I love how he raises his eyebrows and sticks his little butt up when he stretches!!!

Also, when he is sleeping he gets his hands in a position and they will be suspended in air and you can move them and he will leave them wherever you put them! It is like he is a plastic doll and quite funny:)
  • I love this post!
I absolutely adore all the smiles! She's a happy girl and could smile all day long. I also love our moments when she's nursing and she falls asleep and I can just stare at her and hold her hand. It's not a facial expression, but it is my favorite moment.

  • What PP have said.  I also adore when she does this thing where she wants to cry (because she's hungry, not liking being changed, whatever) but is trying to smile because we're smiling at her, and so she makes this adorable puzzled "Awah?" sound.

  • My LO often becomes possessed by a small puppy and licks everything! It's not a hunger cue because she does it right after eating as well. At church on Sunday I has her up on my shoulder thinking she was sleeping but when I moved her and felt the giant wet spot I realized she was going to town on my cardigan! But still the cutest thing!
  • I love the smiles! She just started doing it this last week! Her pouty face is pretty cute/pathetic. She got her daddy's lips (we're talking Angelina Jolie status on the both of them!) so she can really stick it out there. I love when she pops of the breast and makes this popping sound with her mouth and then proceeds to smack her lips (like she just ate the best thing ever), so cute! It's my favorite and cracks me up every time. She is starting to do the cooing and ahhing and I love when I talk to her and she talks back with her sweet little noises.i could go on for days I'm sure :D

  • He coos after he sneezes and it totally melts my heart.

Also, he's so happy in the morning, I'm just trying to get a little more sleep and I see this kid laying next to me just smiling at the ceiling fan like it's the greatest thing he's ever seen. I love that face!

My DD seems to be fascinated by being outside. Generally she is in the stroller w a blanket covering it, but the few times she has been out and in either mine or DH's arms, she looks up to the sky, wide eyed and with her mouth in an "o" shape like shes saying "ooooh, look at that". She also does this when I take her out on the balcony.

  • Like everyone else, his smiles just absolutely melt my heart! Also love love love his expression when he is lifting his neck during tummy time and just watching him kick his legs on his play mat.
  • I just saw pouty face yesterday! I might have to revise my favorite. It slayed me.
