Ugh, car seat safety inspections vent

I called several places and got answers ranging from "we only do that on VWs" to "we don't do that anymore" to "we've completely run out of appointments".

I finally got one for Jan 26th, when the Nerdling will probably 2-3 weeks old.

Well, at least I'm pretty sure I have it installed correctly (I know statistics are not on my side, but I read the manual carefully and have LATCH and all that), but I'm going to be all paranoid till it gets checked out.

Hmph.

For what it's worth, we never had ours checked.

did you try the fire department too? (I'm sure you did...) Or even the place where you bought it?

Our hospital won't let you leave if you can't prove that you had yours checked! I don't know what is near you, but did you try your local AAA office? I know ours will check along with a few police stations.
