Uhhh one time when DH and I were dating we went snowboarding, and we stopped at Starbucks on the way up to the mountain and I got one of those cinnamon roll/croissant things called a Morning Bun. He joked, "You're my morning bun!"

    It stuck.
    /:)

    ETA:
My mom called me Mrs. Murphy my whole life. Not my last name, I don't know anyone by that name. It's what her mom called her when she was a kid.

My dad calls me just "Daughter." :)

Most of my mom's family (my aunts, uncles, and cousins) call me HannaBob or just Bob.

  • I was always referred to in my family as "Shorty" and then 50 Cents In Da Club came out and I worked for a least 4 months straight to retrain my family on a new nickname, or hell... even my own name. It didn't work. Now every year on my birthday guess what song I hear like 500 millions times on my voicemail. yup.

  • My nickname that my family calls me is my name minus the last letter.  When my mom was picking a name for me, she wanted to pick one that couldn't be shortened into a nickname.  It obviously didn't work out that way. ;))
I have a non-nicknameable name too. :P I always said I'd make sure my kids would have two options for their name (like, my brother is Jacob or Jake). Then I went and named my kid Caleb. haha guess he's stuck with it!

My nickname is poopa when I first started dating H he had a brother that was like a year old. So when he finally started talking for some reason he started callin me puppy...which after a million jokes ended up being poopa. To which my husband then became doopa (doops for short) and our aunt became oopa.

Yes we are a super weird family and I love it :)

Edit: because spelling with a baby asleep in your arms on mobile is a PITA

  • My mom was queen of weird, silly, and often odd nicknames. She called my sister Taffy apple pie (her name is Tiffany) and my dad jake the snake, no his name is not jake?

She called me Minnie Mouse, moo and Jamin, instead of Jamey.

H used to call me his sugarbear but that sure as hell phased out thanks to time and the awful reality show.

Most people just call me Jame.

  • I don't know the reason why but when I was little my dad started calling me poopsie. It kind of phased out for a while but he's been bringing it back slowly over the last few years
  • My parents and some aunts & uncles call me "Anni Bananni with the cute little fanny". My brother cals me tugboat or boat for short. He just made that one up one day and stuck with it. DH calls me puppy.....because I slobber in my sleep

  • My mother and DH call me Renee, my middle name. It always sounds very strange if they call me by my first name.

  • My NN is Gabby. My Mom started calling me that as a lil girl as I was a chatty lil thing. It has stuck & I'm even Aunt Gabby instead of Aunt Shannon.
    BabyFetus Ticker
  • My initials growing up were LBS so my Dad lovingly referred to me as "pounds." Now my initials are LL so people call me that some or Double L. So original, I know.

    Toby, my furry baby
  • When I was little, I was Kayla Bean. Then it was shortened to Bean. Thankfully that phased out. My mom used to call me Kay, and that's my favorite. Sometimes someone random will call me that and my heart melts. lol.

When my sisters were growing up I was lala.

DH just calls me babe. Or sweetheart. Or honey. It's weird to hear him say my name. I never really say his either.
  • Oh where do I even begin?! My dad has about a million names for me including fart rocket, fart blossom, squeaker, dimples, mousey, butt cheese (no idea why that started), tippy, and dead eye (I'm a good shot). He has so many more and sometimes he'll even throw out a new one.

My mom has a bunch too but her most used are snickle fritz, squeaker bean, and pumpkin. Both my parents often refer to me as just "the kid".

My fiancé and friends call me squeaks a lot, fiancé has even started calling DD squeaks jr. I'm just over 5ft and used to always be small so pip squeak was eventually shortened to just squeaks. My name is Lizette but I normally go by Liz, most family and friends call me Lizzie or Lizzie Belle though. I get Miss Liz a lot or lizard. A kid I went to school with got upset because I kept shooting him down for dates so he started calling me lizbian (instead of lesbian), that was a pretty funny one and stuck for a while, lol. I ate a huge bucket of cheeseballs one time so I get cheeseballs which was shortened to C-Beezy. And then there is Leshart Brownbottoms. That one was a misunderstanding about pooping my pants (which I did NOT do).

  • @heffafish umm yea it is in reference to my butt.  Otherwise that would be extremely awkward!

  • My nieces and nephew call my Mimi. My niece started it because she couldn't say Melissa when she was little and it just stuck. One of my friends call me Melli and I've beencalled Mel by coworkers and Missy by some of my aunts, which I've always hated.

    Hes our angel... :)

  • Friends call me Mickey... because Michaela was too damn hard for people to spell I guess. So when I was a kid, I thought it was cool to slick back all of my hair and call myself Slickey Mickey. I later realized it was not cool (the name nor the hairstyle) but old friends still call me Slickey Mickey, mostly to rib me for the geeky name...

And I often use Mickey at Starbucks to avoid the awkward "Uh...Miiiishellayla?? I gotta latte for Michael-ahh???".
  • Most of my family call me a variation of my first name. My mom calls me "sissy loo la" sometimes, especially when leaving messages on my VM.

H now calls me mama bear and mama milk truck sometimes.

  • My friends used to call me E. My husband calls me Jim Bob a lot of the time. I have no idea why. It just stuck though. :-/ If he does I respond by calling him Barbara Jean. I thought this would deter him but it doesn't seem to. My mom also calls me Miranda a lot, it's my sisters name. Not sure if that counts. :)

  • My family calls me cow. Has nothing to do with my body image. When I was 3, I insisted on wearing a cowbell around my neck all the time. Even in public.
  • Long story, but my friends call me Balls. My husband hates it.

  • My friends in high school always called me Kristonita. When we were younger, we wanted fancy warrior-girl names and so this was given to me, much like my friend Rose was Rosalita. We were sooo creative.

DH calls me "boo bear" or "mama bear" now. I think it's cute, especially because we just call LO "bear" or "Addie bear" and she sometimes makes growling sounds. DH also calls me Stinky... most of the married people in my extended family (on both sides) call each other this, oddly enough.

My mom used to call me Peepers because I peered over her shoulder all the time when I was little.
  • My mom calls me mick, it used to be miki but at some point it was shortened to mick. Sometimes it's munch, or muncher (as in munchkin).. DH and I usually call each other babe. DD1 went through a phase of calling us babe too, which was pretty cute.

  • They are all first name related. Megs is most common now. Meggie Moo growing up.
  • My mom would call me Gertrude all the time. No odea why.

My younger sister would call me Boba Fett. As in the bounty hunter from Star Wars. But she started when she was 2...way before she ever saw Star Wars.

MH calls me Lauren Nickles because I call him Dominickles. All my life I wanted to be called Ren. Now, my son is Renzo, so he gets the nickname I always wanted.

  • My name is Heather, and when I was in high school my basketball team started calling me Heat. My coaches called me Heat, and other people started calling me Heat too.  It stuck when I went to college and played basketball.  Everyone I know now calls me Heather, but if I see someone from college or high school they still call me Heat.  My husband and family make fun of me for it.

  • When I was in high school everyone at my barn called me Smiley. I guess I always have a, I don't want to say frown, but perhaps look of indifference on my face until someone starts talking to me then I start smiling. When I got my first job after college one of the show managers, and then multiple others, also started calling me Smiley, for the same reason but having no idea that anyone else used to call me that. DH sometimes calls me Tooter. Why, I have no idea.

  • Kuda (KOO-dah).  It was my 2 year old brother's attempt at saying my name Eeva (AY-va) when I was born.  Sometimes they call me Kuda Birf, or just Birf.  No idea what Birf is.
