My baby is playing the "I will only sleep on you" game. Tomorrow is my DHs last official day of vacation and I'm pretty much terrified.
My baby has been playing that game every night for the past week. Throw in a 6 week growth spurt on top of that (probably related) and that makes for one tired momma. I feel like trash. My baby sure is cute, though!
We're back to being up every 2 hours. Poor little guy has such bad gas that he's just laying in his bassinet grunting and straining until it eventually wakes him up
While changing a poop diaper (and having poop continue to come out while I cleaned him), the baby started peeing all over my bed--right where mt comforter and sheets would pull up to my face. He also managed to pee all over his own forehead. Now I'm laying here with just a blanket trying to get warm. Living the life...
My kid nursed on both sides, 45 mins each (her longest yet) so, silly me, when she fell asleep I assumed she was done. Changed her, put her in jammies, swaddled her..."hey mom, I'm still ready to party!" So I gave her one of those ready-to-go formula bottles, another 2ozs! I totally expected her to throw up half of it...nope. A burp and not quite three hours later, we're back at it. What a little oinker!
My LO is wide awake. I'm BFing right now and I don't think she'll fall asleep any time soon. She slept five and a half hours straight the last two nights but I guess that couldn't last. *sigh*
Is there a 6 week growth spurt or is my kid making it up as she goes along? She is normally a good sleeper but tonight, despite eating normally before bed, she has had a three am, four am and five am feeding.
It's also two degrees outside and getting colder with each hour.
And my LO just puked all over me & her face. Milk everywhere. It was like a volcanic eruption.
Normal?
My first daughter was a milk volcano and projectile vomited A LOT. She had reflux though and Zantac helped her.
Usually it just means your baby over ate and is totally normal. If it happens regularly it's likely reflux/gerd so tell baby's doctor. If it happens a fuckton and baby stops gaining weight it could be pyloric stenosis. So, keep an eye on it but don't stress if it's an occasional thing.
We've been up nursing and now she's sound asleep in my arms. I could go back to bed, but I can't quit staring at her. That cute little face makes getting up a lot easier.
I'm up and so tired. I woke up not remembering that I had come to bed and LO was asleep in her bassinet. She had a hard time falling asleep last so I was up in the living room with her until 130. Its a little after 5 now. DH had been holding her but she was still fussy so I got out of bed to feed her. DH was frustrated and told me that it wasn't fair that he was always up with her at night. I was and still am so annoyed because I have her all night except from maybe 10pm until she will be put down...usually takes an hr or so and it's not even every night. Ugh! I am still so annoyed even though he apologized. But he just always complains that she always cries with him and he gets so worked up. It sounds like he's gonna have an anxiety attack or something.
third week growth spurt sucks ...after being swaddled ,changed and fed Lo decided it was time to poop and grunt.. poor thing, if it wasnt for his poop face...
I'm convincing myself there's a 4 week growth spurt as well. I'll use that for all her issues during the next month or so.
Is anyone using anything for diaper rash that works? I saw a little bit on her during her bath and am pissed at myself...you'd think 20 diaper changes a day would prevent diaper rash. I think maybe her diapers were too small so I'm going up a size to see if that helps.
You guys were fancy in college! Milwaukee's Best Light here. I'd throw up if I drank one of those right now.

LO had one and I asked my pedi because just Desitin wasn't working. She said first put A&D on it then Deistin on top, it worked for us, maybe it'll work for you!
Arwen just growled at me while nursing. She sounds like a little gremlin when I feed her at night, always so grumpy.
I think the gremlin movies must have been written by a parent of a newborn, because the "rules" for how not to turn your cute fluffy pet into the evil crazy gremlin pretty much apply. 1. Don't expose to bright light. 2. Don't get it wet. 3. Don't feed after midnight.
I just dozed off giving my LO one a bottle and woke up to it dripping all over her shirt and her complaining about it. Bad mommy I feel like we are in a never ending growth spurt! We went from being one pound under birth weight, to now being one pound over birth weight and she's gained an inch and a half in length in the matter of two weeks. I pump every two hours and she's going through my milk faster than I can make it! Time for coffee...
I still drink PBR if I go to a show or end up at dive bar (because that happens so often these days).
It's decent and cheap.
I don't think I knew PBR was called Pabst Blue Ribbon for a long time. They had a Thursday 50 cent draft night, and that was what we drank.
Also, I guess 6:30 isn't technically the middle of the night, but I'm hoping we will go back to sleep for a few hours... wishful thinking?

I'm here because DS is a pig too. I feel like he's been attached to the boob all night. It's a good thing he is cute.
How's your DD these days?
Hoping she will come home at the end of the month! She is amazing. She is on very little oxygen support and took her first bottle Sunday (only 15 cc, but it's a start). She needs to nipple all of her feeds and she can technically come home. Probably with an oxygen tank, but maybe not. Thanks so much for asking!
Beckett Rilee & Caitlyn Leigh born 9-21-13 @ 27w due to PPROM
Rough night. Up at 10,12,3,5, and 6 with the baby. Up at 1 and 4 with sick ds1. Up for the day w ds2 at 6:15. Gratefully for my husband and coffee. Would be more grateful for a healthy kid and school actually being in session. This nearly 3 week winter break is for the birds!

Dave started drinking pbr when I was pregnant with ds1 because it didn't tempt me. Then he decided he liked it as much as the nicer beers I used to make him buy. Now I even drink it! It's a good beach beer
Re: Awake in the middle of the night for various reasons thread.
Seriously, this dude puts away milk like I put away cheap beer in college. It's magic.
