New found respect... NBR

I have a new found respect for you ladies who live in Canada and places like ND. I am in the Ohio valley and the windchill is -30 to -40 today. It's painful to even be outside! We haven't had weather this cold since I was 8 (1994). So, props to you moms who put up with this kind of weather every winter!

    I hate it! I have lived in SD almost my entire life and every winter I tell myself I should move... The last two winters actually haven't been that bad but this morning -57 is a bit to much for me!!

    my car said -22 actual temp add in the wind chill and I guess it is -40.....its brutal.  Im in MN

    I'm a Canadian and generally the winters suck. We are going through a January thaw though so it's a nice break.

    Ahh, i'm so cold thikning about that! The coldest temperature I've been in was around 10f with only a bit of windchill on top if that.

    Me too... its -40 here tonight with the windchill.Thank god I'm on maternity leave and don't have to venture outside.

    Brody was born on September 23, 2013 at 6.33am weighing 8lb 14oz.

    Yup this was with wind chill the actual temp was a balmy -25 this morning!

    I am I'm Canada and I have to say that this is by no means "normal" for us. I do live in the most southern tip of Canada though so we are not used to this crap! Last year we only even used our snowblower once and that was really only to make sure it worked. We have used it four times in the last three days!

    Yup I would definitely say we have been spoiled with mild winters the last few years. I don't remember a winter this bad in a long time. In southern ontario these temps definitely aren't the norm but in other parts of canada they for sure are.

    I'm in Calgary Canada and though, here in the prairies, it's bloody freezing, it's still a shock. You never get used to it.
    Once it hits -20 it's just fucking cold from then on downward. But it is fun to talk about :)
    Oh and I'm originally from Southern Ontario (all my family is still there) and these ladies ate absolutely right. This is totally insanely cold for them. It's usually nice and warm (compared to us)!

    Edmonton here and it's brutal. I'm born and raised here but like @Coopdogg said, you can't get used to cold like this.

    I've moved to warmer climates twice.... Australia and Dubai. The warmth was wonderful but ultimately I moved back for love. I remind DH of this often when arguing my desire to go on vacation. Haha.
