Aren't all of these replies exactly what I have been saying? Why aren't you over there telling them they are wrong? Or that they aren't sleep gurus, so they shouldn't post that information? Or demanding their credentials and sources?

EDT: or maybe she's overtired.  some babies do shorter stretches between naps at certain times of day.

also, there's nothing wrong with rocking your baby until she's calm and/or drowsy.  Sometimes they need that extra feeling of security.  What you dont want to do is ALWAYS nurse/rock your baby to sleep completely because they wont learn to fall asleep on their own.  Putting them down drowsy is your best bet

Our LO can only go about 60 minutes awake then has to nap or she starts whining and fussing. For us once LO starts crying she won't fall asleep, I have to rock her at that point, if I put her down before she's cranky she'll suck on her pacifier and drift off, but it helps if it's dark or if I cover her eyes. Every LO is so different though, if 5-10 minutes of quiet fussing works then that may just be her system?

Re: Wait a minute...

  • Omg seriously shut up. They aren't spamming the shit you're saying AT ALL.
They aren't repeating it every time a sleep post comes up, but they are saying exactly the same thing: babies need a short awake time and to try to put them down awake, not asleep.

  • Wrong. What they are saying is SOME babies need shorter awake times and the higher responder said HER baby. You post the same crap on every sleep post, whether it applies or not, and come off like your copy and paste is *THE* answer. Not the same.
But it's the SAME INFORMATION. I always always always say in my post "this is the guideline WE use", meaning us, me, we, our babies.

  • You just have to be right, don't you?
I'm tired of being bullied for the same thing other people are saying, just because I am me.

  • This is a joke right?! People told you to cut the same story out! You've been spamming every sleep post!!! Just stop!! Also I'm sure you just violated TOU!
If I truly did, it was unintentional. Show me where, and I'll edit my post.

Do you lack common sense completely? You don't think you intentionally violated TOU in a post where you tagged users, calling them out and telling them to go after other users? Wow. Just wow.
    Oh my goodness. 8-|

I just meant that I feel attacked on so many posts simply because I am juliane2004, but no one else is being attacked for saying the same thing.

I wasn't telling y'all to attack them, I was giving examples / proof of them saying the same thing as I would, and asking why they aren't getting the same treatment as I did. I am not saying to attack them, I'm telling you to stop attacking me, and just let me post / answer questions when I want to and how I want to.

ETA: And I tagged you four so that you would be notified and read this post, aka the exact intent of tagging someone.

We don't attack you. I don't care who you are. If you spam the board with the same nonsensical cut and paste job that everyone continues to tell you isn't helpful, I'm going to tell you to knock it off. Stop searching every sleep thread trying to prove your point. I'm a lot brighter than you and you're going to get burnt. If you had the secret to making infants sleep, you would be filthy rich, not wasting hours a day spamming the bump. This is getting pathetic. Do me a favor, keep my name out of your mouth. Next time you call me out, there should be an apology following it.
I'm not backing down on this.

You seem to be the one with the reading comprehension issue tonight. You just told me my info is nonsensical, but theirs isn't, despite it being the same information.

And I didn't search the board finding examples, it was one of the most recent posts from tonight, and all the examples are replies to the same post. (ETA: It was from Oct13, not our board, my mistake. I wasn't searching for posts though, I have an Oct13 baby.)

Next, there are people who find my information useful and helpful and it works for them, which is why I will keep posting it. forums.thebump.com/discussion/comment/79106283/

It's not my secret. I don't have a book on how to get babies to sleep because it's not my information. I share it, but I didn't write it, I simply compiled it.

And if anyone owes an apology, that would be you.
