What size shoe does your LO wear? I ordered DS a pair of shoes based on age, 9-12 months, they were 4's, he is a shrimp, but they still seem really big to me.
E is kind of between the 9-12 and the 12-18 month shoe size. It depends on where we pick them up. His Target Robeez were 9-12 months and are getting a touch small (I think they were the Medium?) but fit perfectly and stay on. By accident I bought him a pair of Green Bay Packer's slippers that were 18 months and they are huge! I've checked out the 12-18 month Target Robeez and they are still too big.
DD had teeny tiny round marshmallow feet until she was almost 18 months old. She wore the size 0 newborn shoes until she was 6 months old! From then until 18 months, shoes were impossible. Her feet were as long as they were wide and tall. She literally had round puffy feet, lol! I think at 18 months she was wearing the 9-12 month size only because her feet were fat. Luckily, they evened out and she still has little feet. (She's 6 and wears a size 11.5 little girls).
DS is wearing size 2. I had a really hard time finding a decent pair of shoes that small. In robeez he's still got room to grow in his size 0-6 months.

DS is in size 4 shoes. He's pretty big (24 lbs.) and has always had big feet, though. In fact, the VERY FIRST THING DH said when he saw DS right after he was born was, "HE HAS HUGE FEET!"
Size 3s are too small, 4s are too big. I'm afraid that she has inherited my wishy-washy feet. It's okay though because I only have her in a pair of soft leather boots for now and I'm not really interested in real shoes until she gets better at walking, all the ones I've had on my hands are kind stiff IMO. Maybe I'm shopping inthe wrong places?
BTW she looks like a T-Rex when she walks. Today I let her have a kid sized cart at Trader Joe's and she LURVED it!
DD just outgrew her 0 shoes. I replaced them with some 0-3 month ones from walmart that were bigger...I don't really understand baby shoe sizes but she is small in general. Also, those are the only two pair of shoes she has owned because she WILL NOT leave anything on her feet and they become teething toys.
Urg....baby shoes drive me crazy!! It might just be that my chunky monkey has some chunky feet. Im not sure if she was curling up her toes or what but whenever I would put shoes on her feet there would be a huge bulge of fat coming out of the top of the shoe. It just looked uncomfortable to me. I only put shoes on her when we go out because its chilly out and she will take socks off and chew on them but shoes tend to stay on. Now that she is walking all over the place her feet seem to be thinning out some. Right now she is in a 3 but some 4s I have tried on her seem to fit with a little bit of growing room. Right now she only has a couple pairs of cheap shoes since they are only used to keep socks on. I will probably look into nicer pairs after she turns one.
@semcfadden my DS1 had some pudge feet too and we actually got him extra wide shoes from Stride Rite. By about 14 months his feet had thinned down enough that he didn't need the extra width anymore. And Stride Rite shoes are fugly expensive, but they fit! Maybe take her there for a fitting.
Thanks for this. I went to once upon a child to try on a bunch of different kinds and I found one pair that fits but Im not sure what they are. I will def look into the stride rites since she is getting more stable with her walking and is getting more and more interested in walking when we are out and about.
In Robeez, DD has room in her 6-12 month size. She's not walking yet so we use those. I happened to be near a Stride Rite over the weekend and got her measured; her foot is a 3.5 so the salesman recommended a size 4. I think the recommendation is to have a finger width at the toe.
My feet grew PP, too--sad face for all the shoes in a box that I can no longer squash into without feeling like Cinderella's stepsister.

I wish my feet grew PP! I wear a kids size 3 and cute shoes are impossible to find!
My mom wears 2.5 in kids and HATES it...she is always trying to get me to buy shoes that according to her she would wear "if she had feet".....since a lot of the kid stuff has velcro and bows on dress shoes :-)

Yeah I understand that one! I could fit right in with the second graders if I wanted to wear light up shoes..
