Baby Mod Modena crib-which Naturepedic mattress fits well??

Hard to judge based on measurements online if the fit will be perfect. Help!

  • I have no answer to your question but I have a question for you. What color did you get this in? I think we will get it in espresso but I'm not sure what dresser to get, if you got the espresso one what dresser did you buy?

  • I'm planning on ordering it this week (I live abroad so it'll be some time before it arrives)-I'm leaning towards the grey actually. The espresso would be my second choice, it does have a nice rich finish. For me I think the grey has a nice contemporary beach house look to it. I'm happy I came across this crib, I was going crazy with making this decision...
  • Oh and to answer your question-I won't be purchasing their dresser. As per Baby Bargains, their cribs are made better. I wasn't swept away by their dressers either. I have an Ikea dresser with a rustic looking grey finish that I will likely use for the baby's dresser/changing table..
  • I love the grey! It's perfect for a beachy room! Are you getting a matching grey dresser do you think?

  • My Ikea dresser is a grey as well (a bit darker and more rustic looking) but I'm not too concerned about having them match! I like a more eclectic, thrown together look.
  • Yeah, I dont really like the ones in the same line, I was thinking about doing a colored dresser (like navy if this baby is a boy).  We didn't do a matchy-matchy dresser with our DD and I love the way it looks!

i bought the mattress with the crib (in white) at walmart. it was a standard size. fits perfect.

This. Whatever it is it's better than the BRU exclusive Serta I purchased for ODS. It's like a memory foam mattress. It's all white and got good reviews.....just wish I remember what it was. Sweet Dreams? It was a free mattress.

  • Thank you! Buying them both online tonight!
  • Naturepedic mattresses tend to have rounder edges from my experience. I have a Nook mattress now for both kids and they fit snug.
  • We bought the Modena in Grey and love it...an absolutely perfect grey, not too blue but not too brown. We bought a standard size Sealy Baby Firm Rest, and it fit perfectly.
A few people mentioned dressers - we are doing a white dresser and side table. We did a one-shade lighter grey on the walls, and the white looks lovely in there. Looking at the cherry, though, I think white could work with those too. It all kind of depends how "matchy" you want to be!
