So my supply isn't very good so we supplement with formula probably at least half of what he eats.
We had been using Gerber samples that we had been given...we've gone through almost three cans now (LO is almost four weeks old). We are almost out of the Gerber but we have a ton of Enfamil samples, plus our pedi recommended Enfamil if we had to supplement. We started giving LO some of the Enfamil...but he spit it up.
I have heard you can mix formula (half Gerber and half Enfamil) to get the baby accustomed to the change, but he was still spitting up. Today we only put a quarter of a scoop of the Enfamil in his bottle and he STILL spit up. He doesn't typically spit up with Gerber or breastmilk.
Soo....should I just not have LO eat the Enfamil? Or will his stomach get used to it after a day or so? I should also mention, he isn't spitting up a ton, just a little. Obviously though, using up the samples we have are not as important to me as making sure that LO's tummy is happy...but I thought I'd ask if anyone else had any experience with this, and what did you do?
