Monitoring update and a ?

I had another monitoring appt today. I don't have the results of my E2 yet but I will update later. There are still no measurable follicles and I've had 8 nights of stims. Today will be day 9. The u/s tech didn't seem overly concerned at all, in fact she told us that it was "common" to have such a slow response. I really hope my E2 level rises. I mentioned that I was afraid of being cancelled and she said that I shouldn't be concerned with that at this point, sometimes their patient's stim up to 12-13 days before they see a response worth while.

She did see 1 follie on the right and I counted about 4-6 on the left but of course they were very small and she didn't measure them.

Question: Does anyone know the max dosage of Bravelle and Menopur? I thought it was 600 IU but today she said I am already on the max dose of them. Does that mean 300 of each to total 600?

Sorry you're not seeing much progress.

Bravelle documentation:

The maximum daily dose of Bravelle® should not exceed 450 IU and in most cases

dosing beyond 12 days is not recommended.

Menopur documentation:

The maximum daily dose of Menopur® given should not exceed 450 IU and

dosing beyond 20 days is not recommended.

I was on 600iu for my last 2 IVFs, but the clinic I was at prior to this one wouldn't dose me higher than 450iu.

I hope your E2 is climbing and you start to progress soon!!!

21. My E2 is only 21!

( She's keeping me at the same dose and I go back Thursday. She said that if they don't see anything by then, "she'll be concerned."

I am sorry your levels aren't increasing that much. It is so hard for us DOR gals. If you look at my signature, I have been through many cycles. One thing I kept questioning was the use of ganirelix. Both of my RE's said that ganirelix is better for DOR and I thought it was stunting my growth and suppressing me. My RE's blew me off till I got to my 3rd RE. I begged her to try lupron. She was hesitant because she doesn't use microdose lupron at all so she allowed me to use regular lupron and boyyyyy what a difference it made. She could not believe it, but my e2 on that cycle was way better than any of my previous cycles with ganirelix. My body just does not like ganirelix. This might not be the same issue you are having but I just wanted to share my story. Not every DOR girl fits in a cookie cutter. I hope your cycle turns around. (((HUGS)))
